Kievskaya Hotel na Kurskoy in St. Petersburg

- This hotel was an absolute nightmare. Problems started from the moment we arrived. 1. We arrived at 14:00, but the staff told us that check-in was at 15:00. For reasons I still don’t understand, they kept making us wait until 18:00 before allowing us to check in, saying that the room had not been cleaned yet. We waited there for four hours. We wanted to change to another hotel, but since we had just flown from abroad to Saint Petersburg, we were unable to immediately book another hotel and move. 2. The front desk staff had an extremely bad attitude, especially toward foreigners—it could not have been worse (there were many Chinese, Indian, and Malaysian guests). When we asked why we couldn’t check in or raised other questions, the staff were unwilling to communicate with us and kept telling us to wait and not disturb her work. Once rooms were cleaned, all of them were given to Russian guests, while foreign guests were left with nothing but endless waiting. 3. After we finally checked in, the room itself was a complete nightmare. All the bed sheets and duvet covers were old. Once we lay down, there was a constant foul smell coming from the bedding and under the bed. When we checked, everything inside was moldy, and some items looked like they had been used for who knows how many years. This was truly the beginning of the nightmare. The bad smell never went away, and many of us developed red rashes on our bodies overnight. The next day, we tried to check out, but the staff said refunds were not allowed and told us to go to a hospital for a medical examination. We left the hotel directly, but our money was never refunded. 4. I strongly warn foreign travelers not to stay at this hotel. You will regret it to the point of despair. I curse this hotel to go bankrupt as soon as possible—immediately!

- Don't book here. It costs 500 rubles a day to get a residence certificate. It costs 1,000 rubles for me to stay for two days. It's pure black shop. When I booked a parent-child double room, there were three 1-meter single beds. There was no hot water in the shower at night. There was no Wi-Fi in the hotel. If you want to connect to Wi-Fi, you can only connect to the lobby. There was a woman at the front desk who was impatient. She didn't clean up the things left over from the bed.
