The hotel has not changed since the times of the Soviet Union! So, at least it seems. Location was crucial for us.

Minus only for the hastily made rooms and unfriendly staff (hello to the individual at the reception who scolded my wife and child because they used the service toilet, apparently my daughter should have peed on the doorstep), everything else is fine. Hotel "Donskoy Les" is located in a pine forest in a very beautiful place on the banks of the Don River. The air is clean, coniferous, the territory is large, but not huge. They offer bike and car rentals for children. Although, in my opinion, you can safely walk there on foot without transport, except for scooters for children. There is a descent to the Don River, but the beach is not equipped there...

Nice well-groomed territory, forest, near the don river. An excellent place for a basic location if you want to travel around the area: Kudykina Gora, Zadonsk, Skornyakovo and more. The food is good and tasty, but for dinner it's better in Skornyakovo, 30 min. by car. Not suitable for long independent rest: - the territory is tiny - the number of rooms is meager, the rooms themselves are very small...
