Ensana Esplanade in Piestany

We stayed in a Premium Plus room at the Esplanade Piešťany Spa, but sadly, we were quite disappointed. The facilities are very old, more like something from the 1980s, and not well maintained. The atmosphere felt more like a hospital than a spa, and the staff were rather strict and not very warm.

It also felt strange that guests coming through health insurance were mixed with guests paying high prices, around 400 euros per night including treatments. In the end, neither group seemed to get the right kind of service or comfort.

The quality of food was another disappointment, not tasty and often poorly prepared. Because of all this, it was hard to relax or enjoy the treatments.

Overall, we expected a high-quality spa experience, but unfortunately, it did not live up to what was promised.

The lady in the breakfast called Andrea kept yelling at us to get up and leave however the people who are Slovak she didn’t tell them anything and kept picking the cutlery angrily and mumbling in another langage Arab.
It is unacceptable behavior.

First time visit after what people being saying about this hotel. To be honest its worst than I expected. Started treatment a day after arriving to Slovakia and I don't understand how others praise so much, most workers are rude and unprofessional. Don't get me wrong there are a few wonderful workers and polite but the majority are not they let by yourself and don't give much instructions of what to do. My first time in mirror pool i slipped and hurt my foot with no one there, other sessions like fitness they don't tell what exercises you should do!. There is one guy in health reception area is very rude and disrespectful to others. I paid a premium for 2 people and full board and the service and treatment are not worth the money. Food is below basic and we spent more money eating out.
For so many people from the middle east that comes to this spa management don't care to provide halal food for Muslims. Some policies of the spa is to be fully naked in some treatment areas which are unacceptable to many Muslims that comes here and spend a lot of money. There are so many thing's I can write and say but it will take me a long time and am in pain most of the time due to back injury. To sum this up it will be the last time I will come to Piestany and to Ensana esplanade health spa... am sure there are many other places that has same or better results than here. I've spent 10 days so far and have 10 more and I can't wait to leave.

A simple hotel surrounded by beautiful nature. The reception staff are not good at speaking and their manner is impolite. The technicians working in the sanatorium unfortunately do not know anything about kindness and mercy towards patients. The food is very bad. Healthy food does not mean bad food. The chef should be familiar with all types of international cuisine: Italian, American, and Indian. I liked the natural clay, a gift from God.

I would love to write a good review but it is heart-breaking how the ownership allowed this beautiful and world famous spa to degenerate. All spa houses bar Thermia are run down and shabby. The lobby in Esplanade is at least 25 years old. The prices are very high especially for the treatments but it seems nothing is invested back to the hotels... Service varies. We had good and bad experience. Some people clearly didn't want to be there.. I hope this will improve and the legacy of Winter family will be upheld.

The hotel is run down, the rooms are dated, and didn’t even come with enough towels for the number of guests. There’s no instruction from any staff on using the facilities. I can’t even figure out how to redeem my treatments that I booked and paid for. Despite the claims that Ensana is child friendly, nothing about this hotel is geared towards children. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
