El Cisne in Cordoba

The location is perfect. Showers were hot and forceful, beds were comfy, great coffees made by Manuela. Would stay again.

As other reviews have already covered, the location can't be beat. Next to the park and very close to the train station and the main shopping area in Córdoba. The rooms could use an update, especially the bathrooms, but I think they've set the prices right knowing that the rooms are a bit dated. The in-room air-conditioning was very nice as the weather is starting to get warmer. I was also fortunate to get a room with a view of the hills. The one thing I think they should definitely add is a small kettle in the room.

1. LOCATION! To start, it was a super easy and quick walkable spot from the train station and the streets I took weren't a hassle at all with the luggage I carried (huge plus!!!). Besides being near public transportation, this hotel is walking distance to pretty much all the spots a visitor would be going to - I came for a concert and it was very easy to get to the Plaza de Toros. Surrounded by many many shops, restaurants, stores etc.

2. STAFF: I forgot the name of the woman who greeted me upon arrival but she was the best!!! Super friendly, checked for me if I could do an early check in and I did! Which came in handy for a nap because I had traveled for 11 hours via road and was exhausted. Plus, she allowed me to store my medicine in their cooler without hesitation. Again, I forgot her name but she has a pixie cut, blonde hair and super sweet!

3. ROOM: the room I got was very small BUT I wasn't looking for anything fancy - just needed a shower and comfortable bed to rest which, it was very comfortable. now, for the "light sleepers" I will say that the walls are very thin so that would be a big downside for light sleepers, but for me it wasn't a problem since I'm a very heavy sleeper.

On a day when almost the entire city was booked out, we were lucky to get a room in this hotel. The staff was super friendly (as in “exceptionally friendly”), the room was spacious and beautiful and the internet connection was very fast and reliable.

For breakfast, you get a delicious croissant (judged “delicious” by a Frenchman, so you know the bar is high), one of the most tasteful coffees we’ve had on our trip, and freshly pressed orange juice. For only $2.50 per person. Seriously, the best deal on this kind of quality breakfast, so don’t skip it! ;-)
