Simple hotel for sleeping. Room sound proofing not the best. Gym was ok. Breakfast was decent. No kettle in room. Surrounding had limited food. Close to coin laundry (few mins drive away).
Front desk staff Zelta was a pleasure to deal with.
The property itself needs a bit of upkeep but the property is pleasant.
While it has room for improvement my only thorn was the pool area/service.
While I understand that there is a schedule being told the pool is closed in an abrasive manner topped with "I have to leave and I have something important to do" did not settle well with me nor my family...
Hands down for Zelta at the front desk and Alexandra at the bar/ dining room and the housekeeping crew on the 3rd floor the week of 8/12.
They made my husband's birthday very special.
We had a little, let's call it a misunderstanding with the gentleman at the pool, but that did not get in the way of us enjoying ourselves and the property and its surroundings.
Little village outside ourense, the...
It deserves its four stars. The room is incredibly wide. (a triple one). It looks like that there is a living room if it hosts just two guest. Two safes. A very big wardrobe. And the wc has a washing department an the bathing department. I have missed a toilet brush just to keep “the seat” clean after use.
A good hotel on a small village but still close to town. It's a very quiet area. The rooms were good and comfortable. There's outside parking spaces available in the property. The staff was friendly. Good price quality ratio 👌
Fantastic friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. Very clean. Very comfortable rooms and beds. Spacious including the bathroom. Very quiet for a big hotel - not noisy from roads or from the general hum of running a large building. Right on the Camino De Santiago (200m) and a great location to rest up before walking on. Loved our stay and will return on our next trip to Ourense.

The room was spacious and well-decorated. The location was in the city center, conveniently within walking distance of attractions, and not far from the station. The town was very pleasant, and the hotel breakfast was also excellent and plentiful.
Suave and sophisticated, Barcelo is smack in the center and convenient in every way. The views are beautiful, the city is literally at the doorstep. Everything is close by, El Paseo and Parque San Lazaro is right outside and Los Cinos are a ten minute stroll. Shop, eat, walk by the river, hot springs are a short hop away. Highly recommendable.
The hotel is artistically yet modernly furnished, with a plentiful and incredibly varied breakfast for €13 (booked directly at check-in) – classic dishes as well as healthy options like spirulina. The parking lot was tight (as in most hotels), but otherwise great. The sauna was a good size, and there was a modern little gym.
After a major renovation, the hotel looks brand new. Located right on the pedestrian street, transportation is very convenient. The room was spacious and comfortable. The shower was excellent. The breakfast was hearty and satisfying. I was very satisfied.
Very nice spacious room. Yet no shelves/ drawers to place clothing.
No where to hang towels
Nicely decorated. Not practically designed. There is no place to put your clothes. All inner walls are glass. Going to the bathroom at night, the light will wake your spaus...

It was a great experience. Hotel is well-located with access to many restaurants and touristic attractions. The staff was excellent and very helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious. Excellent stay.
Good value for your money, the rooms are pretty old fashioned, but they're spacious and have a minibar.
City hotel , cheap and cheerful. Annoying that you have to pay to park your bike in garage and when checkout came i did not exspect to be navigating my way through 50 new bed matresses out side our room and in reception.
It is great value. Close to the old town. We have stayed here before and the bathrooms have been recently renovated. A great option for a short stay on a tour around this beautiful part of Spain.
Hotel was in a good location, 5 min walk to the old part of the town
Safe parking for Motorcycles. First Class Hotel.
On-site underground parking for Motorcycle only €6 a night. Everything first class no complaints.

Very nice detail received in my room. I feel like at home!
Friendly Uruguayan guy at check in. Very good breakfast spread and staff keeping it tidy and replenishert.
Parking just 50m down the road very easy. Bit expensive at €17.
Rooms a bit dated and unfortunately I had one facing the back of some restaurants so I couldn't open the window. Aircon worked well. (The receptionist did suggest a room at the back as it was quieter just a shame about the odours...
Very good hotel - just 5 min walking distance from the main pedestrianised shopping area. Large spacious rooms, with good shower. Large wall TV. Modern interior and decor. Good choice of breakfast items and the staff are very friendly and helpful.
Very nice hotel in the city center. Delicious breakfastbuffét. Quiet room. Nice beds.
A perfect spot to explore Ourense , the hotel was comfortable with a great breakfast, the room was comfortable and large with a vi of the street but it was quiet, the staff are very friendly, the location is great for local restaurants.
Modern hotel with a great location, a 10-minute walk from the city center. Very friendly staff. We were upgraded to a suite on the 8th floor. A very comprehensive breakfast. Highly recommended.

Lovely bedroom, super clean place, but the best quality of this hotel is its location.
The staff was great
Buffet food cold
brand new, clean and big room size, breakfast is great!Park in the blue zone on the street just in front of the hotel, weekend free!
Great location, with private parking even though you should check as there are plenty of spaces parking free surrounding this hotel. The rooms are big, clean, with perfect wifi signal, the breakfast is of good quality and offers gluten and lactose free options. You wont walk more than 5 minutes to be in all the old city attractions
Nice place to access the town with limited driving
It was a convenient stop for our trip. Laundry service close by. Town of Ourense was walkable with a few attractions. Was disappointed that bridge is only lit up on the weekends.
I liked the hotel; except that they should impeove the breakfast.
We stayed here for one night, and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were spacious enough for two people and luggage, the beds were comfortable, and the bathrooms were clean. The location was close to everything that you'd want to see in the city downtown.
We paid extra for the breakfast, and it was worth every euro. In a country which is not noted for its breakfast spreads, this was one of the most thorough...
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and I am happy to give it a 5-star rating. As a frequent traveler, I found the ambiance and service here to be exceptional.
The rooms were incredibly spacious, well-maintained, and spotless. The staff members were very polite and always ready to help with a smile, which made the check-in and check-out process very smooth. Although I didn't get a chance to try the...
Friendly staff and excellent breakfast. Great location; closed to the historic area but not in the middle of it and all the tourists and noise. We didn’t try the spa.
Such a wonderful place to rest on our way to Santiago de compostella. We spent a time in the beautiful spa, which we had to ourselves. There is a fab vegetarian restaurant next door called Shangri La. We loved our stay here in Ourense. Would highly recommend this hotel. Breakfast was great too.
We took the high speed train here after our overseas flight to Madrid. Imi hotel’s spa was perfect for getting out the kinks before The Camino. The bubble in the warm pool complimented the great sauna and steam. Cold water bucket and hot water shower jets made for a complete experience. Easy location for dinner in Old Town. And the hotel service was excellent. As someone mentioned, more light in the...
I can only speak about the spa. We went to spend an afternoon with my wife and the 13 and 10 year old girls. The hotel is located in the center of Ourense and we called because they let children enjoy the spa. It is not very big but it is very good. It has everything that any larger spa has where they do not allow minors. More than 6 people cannot be together in the group. Worth.

I loved the know-how from the stuff. They were all 😃

Recommend
Decent hotel, centrally located, perfect for a short stay.
Nice and cosy hotel. There was a good heating system in a room. Good breakfast. Good location.
Friendly English speaking reception staff were very helpful and were kind enough to chill a bottle of champagne for us on New Year's Eve.
At present there are no mini-bars in the rooms, however our accommodation was very good. Super comfortable bed and a jacuzzi in the well appointed bathroom.
All in all a most enjoyable stay, and we would certainly return. Many thanks.
The rooms were really nice and big, bathrooms are a piece of art. The only downside is that in some rooms the internet signal is not available.
The main advantage is its proximity to the train station, just a two- or three-minute walk away.
The hotel is small, but the rooms were surprisingly spacious. The amenities are about what you'd find in a domestic hotel, but the soundproofing is decent, making it quite quiet.
The breakfast was acceptable; it would be better if there were more variety.
Note that there is no bottled water or kettle
Conveniently located near train station. Very clean, new facilities, nice staff. Be sure to be out of the room by noon on your last day!
Excellent. Clean, quiet, central location.
Nice and quiet place to stay after leaving Santiago.
Nice and clean hotel in the old city. Many shops and restaurants nearby.
Only issue was that the old city streets are being remodeled, and we had to park outside of the old city walls.
Hotel close to bus and train central station Ourense. Perfect if you travel continues next day. The room was clean, bath shower hot, bed comfortable. Would book again. I recommend it

After reading the reviews, I don't think it's the same hotel. The men who greeted us were very kind. They offered us parking since it wasn't full. We were in 209, the Wi-Fi was good, the towels and the bathroom were clean. I only see a negative to improve by changing the very old furniture and the carpeting, the air conditioning worked great but you can tell that it is an old machine because it makes...
We arrived at dusk and the room was very bright with a very large bed. Although the room was a bit narrow, there was a feeling of spaciousness. The only downside that I put is that there was no way to lock the door and you could hear everything that was happening outside... There was a feeling that someone could come in at any time if they wanted to. I didn't pass though. The staff was very friendly...
Cosey place for a relatively cheap and great getaway. Bathrooms are small but you here to visit the city no to spende your time in the loo. Reception people are super friendly and ready to help.

Great value option for a short stay in Ourense. Staff is very attentive.
Great place for a cheap stay in the city centre. We got free parking a 10 minutes walk away. Loads of bars and supermarkets to get stuff to eat. Had an early train to Madrid so was just a crash pad but comfy beds, nice bathroom, receptionist helpful. Would stay again at less than than 50 euros a night in August!
I stayed here for 2 nights. It was a good choice: central location, the reception staff was very friendly, the room was very clean. Excellent value for money. The only downside was that my room had a view of the city, so it was noisy at night and I had to use earplugs for sleep. I recommend it to everyone who is on the Camino Via de la Plata. Good price and very good conditions
Amazing staff who were locals of the area. They were very friendly and invited us to ask them any questions we had! Thank you
Hotel is in a good location, close to shops, bakeries, restaurants. However it is on the main road and there is quite a lot of street nice during the day and at night
Central location; breakfast available; great value ; underground car park : €60 per week but make sure you use same card to get out as entry - purchase from attendant; lovely staff; near historic centre ; we used it as a base for walking trip..

The minimalist newly refurbished room, where everything worked.
Great location, though beware the chances of finding free onstreet parking are close to zilch. I paid 12 euros per day at the parking lot (that's about 10ish min away on foot) with the parking lot's discount (which was better than the hotel's).
The room was nice, the bed was comfy and it was very clean though it lacks a fridge (I missed that "small" detail when I booked it) but what I just can't overlook...
Recently renovated 2 star European hotel. Convenient location and fair price. Coffee downstairs for breakfast and few blocks away from downtown/ historic center.
Good place, I would recommend if you are on a budget and stay a few days. Don’t expect other services or big lobby. It’s just ok.
Altiana is a good choice
I had a short one night stay; nice, clean room; ventilated bathroom; free wifi; good breakfast; central location; good room rate. I have no complaints.
Very nice. The staff was very helpful.
very modern, great location, friendly staff. and there's a cafe/pub in the first floor - perfect for morning coffee/an evening drink

Quiet comfortable basic room in the city centre, perfect for a short space.
HOTEL SUPER CÉNTRICO Y MUY BIEN COMUNICADO, IDEAL PARA UNA ESTANCIA CORTA YA QUE ESTA EN PLENO CASCO HISTÓRICO, E CUAL ESTA LLENO DE PUNTOS DE INTERÉS TURÍSTICO Y DE LA CONOCIDA RUTA DE LOS VINOS DE OURENSE
This hotel is in a good position very close to the beautiful Catedral, which is well worth a visit.Lots of restaurants and coffee shops closeby. Small basic room but comfortable enough. Very clean. Staff very friendly.
I use a small mobility scooter. Tight to get around room & hotel but I managed it. Staff very helpful & friendly. The hotel is central so a bit of street noise to be expected.
Overall, considering low price, hotel totally acceptable
Used to stay here for a while several times per year. Really good price-quality ratio.
Nice, basic hotel in a perfect location in the old town of Ourense. Convenient for driving, and nice (but again, basic) rooms. No air-conditioning, which for us meant leaving the windows open, which let in a lot of noise. Perhaps it is not usually so warm in Ourense (37 degrees July 8th).

I appreciate the late check-in and check-out. The place is clean and provides some commodities in the kitchen. There is no stove and the laundry is for staff only but it's close enough to a lavanderìa. Front desk is here until late. Some bunk beds have privacy curtains, personal bunk lamp and outlets. Dining area is spacious.
Great Albergue for pelgrinos for Via de la plata . Plenty bed, clean, warm blanket, kitchen with plenty bowl, plates with Micro waves .
And there is free milk , cereal, cookie, coffee for guests.
Two big shower room .one for women, another for Men.
There is coin coffee machin , coin drink machine.
The girl named Briana (staff) , she is very helpful, kind. Thank you!!
I came to Ourense by morning train but staff let me in even I was too early. Location is good near the trainstation, shops and bars. Friendly staff, clean place. Nice kitchen and common area. Light breakfast included.
For a hostel it's fine, the location is good, very friendly, if anything, I would prefer the showers to have doors.
There weren't many people when I went, and this may affect my assessment a bit. The place itself is spacious and clean, a living room with some kitchen utensils, as well as a microwave, etc, and breakfast.
The area is ideal in Ourense, near the river, a supermarket, cafeteria and others.
The treatment is excellent and difficult to improve, the worker is a charm.
For what quality / price (€ 17),...
I stayed here with my friends for many days. The staff is very friendly and they helped us a lot. We have great memories here, I suggest it!!
