Best Western Hotel Gamla Teatern in Ostersund

The music on the sidewalk is disrespectful and not classy. And perhaps it feels rather desperate. I'd say it is third world-ish. Uncivilized. The establishment does not own the sidewalk. It does not have the right to impose their music everytime one passes by. I am not a guest. And I wouldn't be, especially because before entering I don't have the best impression. I have the right to walk in the street with peace of mind. Please turn it off, for the sake of respect and tranquility. Do not soundwash people's minds. Let them be

The answer from hotel is misleading and does not address my issue. In this hotel there are extra hidden costs… Paying for a bag of chips is fine, but 5 euros extra just for an invoice?! Is this really Sweden? If you eat a bag of chips in the room, I am expecting to pay for the chips and not an extra 5 euros just for invoicing/ administrative fee. This is completely unacceptable in Sweden! The hotel itself is well-maintained and has some great amenities, like the sauna and jacuzzi. The breakfast was good, and a big shoutout to the young lady who was working alone and incredibly hard to keep everything stocked and running smoothly! Big applause to her, but the breakfast is understaffed. Even though the hotel is quite well maintained I cannot accept this extra charge to eat a bag of chips.

Girl working at the reception 03/28/24. arrogant look … harsh and rude responses. I wrote in advance that I would like to come to the hotel with a dog. but for certain reasons I couldn’t. The girl did not specify that the room would cost $30 more, since we wanted to come with a dog. She simply issued a check. To the question “Why a different amount and not the agreed upon one?” she still answered us rudely: “Well, you’re with a dog.” I think it would be correct if the girl initially said, “Since you are dog with you, your room will cost $30 more.” This must be for any purchase or sale. To clarify. Since we cannot know in advance the prices of each hotel.

I liked the hotel. The food is delicious. The only negative is the staff. Which spoiled the mood. A very self-confident girl. She left an unpleasant imprint on my memory. But the girl who took over on 03/29/24 was very sweet and pleasant. This kind of service makes me want to come back again.
