My stay here was absolutely terrible. The room's hygiene was appalling; the sheets were stained, and there were ants and cockroaches. The facilities were outdated, and the air conditioning was noisy and blew directly onto the bed, making it impossible to rest. The room had poor soundproofing, and the birds chirping early in the morning made it impossible to sleep.

The breakfast selection was limited and didn't suit our palates. Getting to the beach involved a long, steep set of stairs, and at night, the dim lighting made it very easy to trip. This place is definitely not recommended for the elderly, children, those with mobility issues, or pregnant women.

There were also venomous jellyfish and large spiders on the beach, so be extra careful if you're bringing kids. What was most outrageous was the hotel's blatant discrimination against Chinese guests, treating foreign and Chinese guests differently with rude and disrespectful attitudes. Overall, the experience was extremely poor. I absolutely do not recommend this place and will not be returning.

This was our second night's room, and it definitely wasn't as good as the honeymoon suite. The bathroom was quite cramped, and there were a few more mosquitoes. The pleasant surprise was that we could still catch a glimpse of the sea through the gaps from the front sea-view rooms. Overall, it's a very good value-for-money room. We paid an extra 700 baht for the older child's extra bed and 300 baht for the younger child's breakfast. We're generally satisfied! The views from this hotel are absolutely stunning and unparalleled! The breakfast is also incredibly rich, with whole mangoes that you can pick yourself!

I stayed in Room 7, which was a split-level room. Upon entering, there was a small living room. To the left, a door led to the rooftop via stairs, and to the right was the bathroom. Down three steps was the bedroom itself.

Regarding the room type, the pros were: the room was very spacious, the bathroom was large, and the balcony was huge – perfect for drying clothes. It was also closer to the Dragging Tail Beach, offering a prime ocean view, and the minibar was complimentary.

The cons were: The shower only had a rainfall head, with no handheld option. (Though, after four nights, I didn't find this to be a major issue.) The toilet flush wasn't very powerful. The sofa was broken, with all three backrests unable to stay upright. The hairdryer wasn't wall-mounted, and I found an enormous cockroach in the bamboo basket where it was stored – thankfully, I managed to kill it.

Pictures 1 and 2 were taken from the rooftop.

Pros: The breakfast was incredibly delicious and varied. They even had salmon belly at the buffet, which was very fresh, and the breakfast menu changed daily – easily the best on the island. The front desk staff provided cheerful service throughout our stay and were very welcoming. It's quite close to the beach; even though our room was the furthest away, we still reached the beach in 5 minutes by following the downhill path shown in the picture to the sandbank. The surroundings were very quiet.

Cons: The room facilities were incredibly old and dated. There was an ant colony inside the bathroom wall, with large numbers of ants crawling up and down a fixed route in the corner from morning till night (but they stayed confined to that one area), so we dared not leave any food uncovered. The bathroom door was translucent and had no curtains, so it became very bright as soon as the sun rose, which meant my travel companion didn't get a good night's sleep.

From the moment you arrive, attentive service washes over you like a gentle sea breeze. Concierge staff, with genuine smiles, proactively take your luggage, guiding you effortlessly into a picturesque world where mountains meet the sea.

Enjoy a magnificent, sprawling sandy beach and your own private golden sunset over the ocean. As the tide recedes, a dreamlike sand path extends into the turquoise sea; in the evening, you can immerse yourself in the most romantic moment of the day on your exclusive beach.

In the morning, awaken your palate and vitality with a lavish and exquisite breakfast buffet. Our consistent, thoughtful care ensures you feel valued and comfortable from check-in to check-out.

Here, the mountains, the sea, romance, and exceptional service are all yours to savor.

I can't believe they wouldn't let me cancel my reservation for free, even with the hundred-year flood in Hat Yai. It was a complete waste of several nights' stay – such a rip-off! Everyone, be warned when booking: this hotel is a scam. Once you book, there's no canceling, not even for a natural disaster like a major earthquake! I've already filed complaints with the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Thai Consumers' Association!

It's quite good-looking, but a bit ugly, yet still rather good-looking. Unfortunately, it's quite ugly for me, it's just too good-looking, it doesn't really convey the feeling of being ugly, so compared to being good-looking, it's a bit ugly. Overall, it's still good-looking, the only flaw being that it's a bit ugly, but that doesn't detract from its good looks.

Good hotel and very good breakfast. Good location close to beach but a bit far from walking street & pier. Very clean room but lots of mosquitos in the bathroom.

Breakfast was superb. Beach is fantastic. Free taxi at evening. We liked staying here.

The hotel's view is truly stunning. Adding an extra bed for 700 baht was more cost-effective than booking a room for four people. We were given a pool-view room on the second floor of the first building, which offered a breathtaking direct sea view. The hotel has staff waiting at the pier to transport guests to the hotel, and luggage is also delivered to the room. The only downside to the room was that ants were common, so it's best to put food scraps or trash in the outdoor bins and keep them away from the room door. Breakfast was plentiful, and the view from the restaurant was incredibly beautiful. Getting to the beach wasn't particularly far. You can also arrange with tour operators to be picked up and dropped off at the beach below the hotel for excursions. The pool and restaurant close at 5 PM daily. Although it's a bit far from the shopping street, there's a free shuttle service that runs continuously, so you don't have to wait too long. The day before check-out, you can coordinate with the front desk about what time you'll need to go to the pier the next day, and they'll help you with your luggage. Overall, I was quite satisfied with this hotel and would choose it again for my next visit. This trip to Thailand was quite long, and I compared several apps for booking hotels and flights. While Trip.com was a bit more expensive than other platforms, I felt their overall service was much better. You could reach a human agent even at night, and they made a great effort to communicate with the hotel and respond promptly. Koh Lipe is a beautiful island, definitely worth a relaxing stay.

I knew this hotel was old and its facilities outdated before coming, but I still booked it because the rooms were quite large. Well, turns out I was still shocked after arriving.

**Facilities:** The hairdryer caught fire while I was using it – ever seen that happen? It just takes 30 seconds on hot air to ignite, and the whole room smelled burnt. The sink leaked right onto my feet, and the drain plug was broken, making it hard to wash clothes.
Also, because it's a terraced building, the outdoor lights never turn off at night unless your neighbor specifically turns them off. The staff can't do anything about it, and generally, people don't bother to turn off that light. The curtains don't block out light at all, so the room was bright even with the curtains drawn, making it impossible to sleep for anyone who needs darkness. Complaining to the front desk did absolutely no good.

**Hygiene:** The bedsheets, duvet covers, and bath towels were all frayed and worn out.

**Environment:** There were centipedes everywhere, some over ten centimeters long. A big one even fell out when I was hanging clothes to dry.

**Service:** They said there's a car shuttle to the pier, but after 12 PM, there's no service. If you have an afternoon boat, you have to pay for a tuk-tuk to the pier yourself.

I will absolutely never book this hotel again.
