Very homely and budget-friendly resort, with a much more rustic atmosphere compared with the countless luxury resorts and hotels popping up across the rural landscape. Wife and I especially looked forward to the Thai-style breakfast every morning (rice porridge, stir-fried morning glory, fluffy omelette and pickled radish). Staff were friendly and accommodating. Wifi was good.
We loved it here. I can see why some may not like it but you don't book this style of accomodation if you want 5star luxury. This place is excellent for relaxing, especially outdoors and enjoying the nature. The staff were very nice, not overbearing at all, and the breakfast was huge (Thai). If we stay in the area again we will definitely consider staying again.

Feels like a mini thai village. The family villa we stayed in had 2 rooms separated by a common area. Toilets are very spacious with hot water available. Relaxing and close to nature but not for fussy travellers due to mosquitoes and late night singing from the bistro across the road as well as incessant croaking by frogs and cricket chirping. Breakfast is freshly prepared with a choice of western or Thai-Chinese. WiFi is spotty but works if you find the right spot.
The location of The Frog is very good, bordering corn fields and surrounded by hills that hold the morning mist quite well.
The rooms are a simple, no fuss style. The beds are very firm, the TV tiny with a poor selection of channels. The bathrooms are extremely basic, with leaks from the roof, the pipes and the walls.
Check that your fridge is on before using it because ours was turned off on arrival.
Breakfast is made fresh with either Thai or western options available.
Though WiFi is available it is very poor and didn't work much of the time we were there.
