Raya Grand Hotel in Nakhon Ratchasima City

Service from the staff was fantastic, rooms a bit dated, only cold water in the wash basin. We ordered 3 meals in the restaurant last night, all with fried rice, the rice (sticky rice) came out 10 minutes before meal number 1 arrived, was almost cold. Meal No1, some of the chicken was raw and chewy. Meal No.2 Thai green curry (chicken) with fried rice, came out as fried rice with green curry pasted mixed through it, again chicken very chewy, as if defrosted in the microwave too long. Then comes out the 3rd meal for the rice that was brought to the table 20 minutes before, the rice (sticky rice was cold) the beef with mushroom had no mushroom, and tasted bad because of the amount of mushroom soy sauce used.

Breakfast, we had pick 4 fried eggs from the servery that were cold, we asked the staff to make hot by microwave for us. 3 out of the 4 eggs weren't even warm, just returned them and had toast with jam, (not my typical breakfast), I had to eat to take medication, or I would've went without. After sending the eggs back for a 2nd time, the staff offered to make fresh. We had to be somewhere and didn't have anymore time to hang around.

The Thai meals in the restaurant weren't the cheapest of Thai meals, but by far we're certainly the worst, we've had.

The waiting staff at night couldn't be anymore helpful by keeping our drinks topped up.

If it wasn't for the great service of the hotel staff, I would've rated the hotel as a 1 star.
