BR Grand Hotel in Hat Yai

It was a last minute decision to drive to Hat Yai. The initial gut feeling was there might be not enough parking. Surprisingly, this hotel provides ample parking for their visitor.

I understand the hotel has more than 150 rooms and located just nicely out of the noisy main streets, which is about 200m away. Hence, this is one of the reasons of choosing this hotel for my family.

Here's my two cents of my experience with GreenView Hotel:-
What’s best about this hotel
1. Ample car park with someone watching at night
2. Very clean - the hotel, the room and the surrounding.
3. Very pleasant, helpful and attentive staff – they escort you to your room, checking every items were workable, showed my mum, an old lady on tuning TV channels, took time to explain to us the nearby attractions.
4. Free WiFi and at where we stay at Level 3, the signal was strong. Nevertheless, I guess it depends on how far of your room from the WiFi router.
5. Reasonable price comparing to others and considering it is the Chinese New Year peak season
6. The porridge at the hotel restaurant was tasty

Room for improvements
1. Brighter ground floor perhaps to give a warm welcoming feeling
2. Do highlight thermal flask / hair dryer can be borrowed somewhere (at the reception / in the room)
3. Better lightning at the restaurant area and put an “Open” sign to indicate it is open, although it was stated open from morning until night

Hotel location and surrounding
1. I have no problem locating the hotel. As I am driving, both Waze and Google Map showed correct location.
2. It was a leisure walk to a lot of attractions – Kim Yong market, Lee Gardens, temples, etc.
3. I felt safe walking with my family at night even though it was relatively a quiet neighborhood.
4. This is not the place if you are looking for happening atmosphere in this city.
5. You can reach tuk-tuk easily as they often park just outside the hotel
6. Worry about where to eat? I found it was really convenient as there were many shops nearby, all within 1-2 minute walk, to your left, right or into small alley which will bring you to the busy main streets (with seafood restaurants, 7-11, and many other roadside hawkers). At night, there is a fruit stall just right next to this hotel.

Suitable for traveling in the city. Very convenient. Located in the city.

The overall hygiene and environment are good. Only the decoration and room facilities are a bit old

scary, 5th floor can hear a baby crying every midnight 2 plus.
Shower head leakage.
Should provide an electrical kettle for boiling water.
Amazing to see a Chinese temple worship the Eight Saints Cross the River 八仙过海🙏🙏🙏

Should inform at booking platform that no breakfast on fasting months.. but only knows when getting opened up getting keys…

Despite the old feel and look of this hotel and the room itself, this hotel is still worth staying for as the room is spacious and clean with all the basic necessities and the staff are friendly. The hotel is not located at the main road so it is quite quite yet still safe to walk around to buy drinks or tidbits

Good location in the heart of the city, easy to find things to eat, the room is considered okay. but the shower in the room is a bit light

Good and friendly service. Hotel room is clean and it is within walking distance (few hundred metres away) to the Hatyai famous night markets near to Lee Garden Plaza.
