Grand Manita Beach Resort in Surat Thani City

Nice and quiet resort. Great location, close to everything that you might need, but it's secluded with good size swimming pool and a beach.
Everyone from the staff was very professional. Even the owner came to say hi.
Feels like a 5 star hotel.

Very welcoming, peaceful and tranquil. We stayed in a Deluxe Bungalow with garden view (A2) right by the pool and a few steps to the beach and it was wonderful. Bungalow was well accommodated, comfy beds, kettle, toilet and shower with plenty of hot water, fridge, loads of storage space for clothes etc, table and chairs and very good Air Conditioning, table and chairs also on the large balcony. Bungalow was kept spotless by the cleaners, as were the walkways, pool area and entrance, all staff hard working and friendly. You get two bottles of water each day but if you need more, the reception sells big bottles along with soft drinks, beer and nice cups of coffee, all reasonably priced,, we also took advantage of the laundry service offered, it was very good and very cheap There are a few restaurants in the area, at the right to the entrance, there is a superb Turkish Restaurant, a few steps further there is a cafe bar that does coffee and toasties along with croissants. If you walk to the left from the entrance there are a few restaurants and another cafe bar (Toast) next to the Seven/Eleven, which does everything from poached eggs to a full English breakfast Centre of Lamai is a short taxi ride away, where there is an abundance of shops, restaurants, street food and cafes, taxis are ridiculously cheap This was an excellent base for our stay in Lamai, and would have no qualms in returning or recommending to friends and family

I stayed at the Grand Manita for three weeks, with a short break.
It was very cozy, a small resort with a wonderful garden that was tended daily. Right on the beach, with a small, but very nice pool. It had a private feel, and Lamai was within easy walking distance.
The staff was very friendly, and they also provided breakfast upon request, fresh towels every day, and bottled water. I would book it again in a heartbeat.

Imagine a quiet private resort with comfortable rooms with a tree lined walk to a pool and just a few steps into the sea. This is the place, great service, excellent prices. About 1.4 km to the markets but close to great restaurants, laundry services and of course a 7/11. Would definitely go back!

Wonderful stay. The place is spotless, pool and grounds are gorgeous. They don't run a restaurant anymore post COVID but it's easy enough to find food nearby. Sea view bungalow had a beautiful outlook. Fantastic value accommodation. 10/10 would come back

A very quiet secluded resort, right on the beach.
Rooms are clean and nicely furnished, no TV, just kick back and relax. Pool situated over looking the beach. The beach is shallow, at low tide you'll see it's not great for swimming, but the pool is spot on.
No reception at the moment, assuming due to the quiet season, but staff were ready enough to get a hold of when required.
Mattresses are normal for the region. Quite firm.
I enjoyed my stay, the staff were great, local dining very nice, massage at Lilly's towards Silver beash worth a visit. Shade Coffee is great, Renu and Tips Tacos are great too, Kawins Kitchen too.

We stayed in the bungalows. They were lovely and spacious with everything that you would need. The staff were all friendly and helpful. They let us stay for a late checkout. They rent out scooters for a nice price, and the location is only a 2 min drive from the center of Lamai. Would go again.

Spacious bungalows, quiet, and located on the most beautiful part of Lamai beach. The owners are very friendly and helpful. A hidden gem.

It's located on a quiet part of the beach about a 20 min walk to the nightlife area.
Easy 5 min walk to restaurants and 7/11.
Huge beachfront pool.
The beachview room was excellent.
