Mandala Camping - Adults Only in Faralya

I absolutely DO NOT recommend this place.
Avoid it.

The bad:
I was cheated here by the staff.
I don't believe it was the owner, because I was talking to him via Whatsapp at the same time.
I reserved and confirmed prior to arriving. It wouldn't let me book online, unfortunately. The online price was $32.xx for a night. I confirmed via Whatsapp, we agreed on $35... No big deal there.
When I arrived, after a quick look around, I found the woman who was working. Before she even showed me the room, she demanded "money" three times in the 10 meters to show me the room.
She ALSO confirmed $35. Then she charged me 2000tl, which is $45. I wanted to pay via card, and surprise, surprise the machine was "broken". So I paid, too much, more than we agreed.
When asking my nationality (I'm from the US), she proudly announced she was Russian 🙄. LMAO, it was so so strange.

Wifi is awful here. You need to go up to the pool area, or down at the entrance. It is non-existent in the rooms.

Basically I paid about 30% extra for this cheating Russian lady.
I don't directly blame the owner or campsite itself, but who you hire is a direct reflection of your business.
As it turns out, the machine wasn't broken, she needed to plug it in...which she did that night for dinner. A couple of us paid with cards that night.
So I have no doubt she pocketed either all the money, or a portion of it.
She ALSO never took a copy of our passports, which is required. So it seems petty clear at least she is scamming people on the regular.

Sadly it was the only place open nearby, or else I certainly would have gone elsewhere.

The good:
Location, not too bad, a few minutes walk to the beach. Better here than way up the hill where there are several other places to stay. Also they were open a bit early in the season.

I had planned to stay a week and left after the first night. Disastrous organization and customer service. The day of my arrival they had "forgotten" my reservation and given the room to someone else. Put me in a neighboring accomodation, to then shortly later give me another room. The doorlock didn't work which they only took care of after asking for it several times. Had specifically asked for a quiet room and they gave me one next to the bar and staircase. The dinner buffet was a complete fail. Very unprofessional and sad experience. Cannot recommend.
