Unsal Hotel was the one we looked forward to the most during our Turkey trip, but unfortunately it turned out to be the most disappointing 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️

The location is good — just a short walk to the beach — and the pool is clean and pleasant for sunbathing. Sadly, these were the only positives.
Our room was tiny, right next to the bar, and loud music went on until midnight. I even attached a video from our first night, when we were exhausted from traveling and just wanted to rest. Instead, we had to listen to this noise every single night of our 5-night stay.

The facilities were poor: the blanket was rough, the shower gel and shampoo were watered down, and the hairdryer stopped working with no replacement available.

Housekeeping was also very frustrating. During our 5-night stay, they came at completely random times — 9:45 am one day, 11:00 am the next, and even 1:00 pm another day. And they don’t speak English. If we couldn’t let them in immediately, they simply never came back. This was the only hotel I’ve ever stayed at where guests had to adjust to the cleaners’ schedule instead of the other way around.

When I got injured and asked for first aid, the front desk only gave me iodine and cotton, then told me to buy bandages at the market myself. Senior staff seemed impatient with basic requests, yet were very eager when it came to selling tours or extras.

This was far below our expectations. I really don’t understand how this hotel has such a high rating. If you do decide to stay here, avoid the garden room — and honestly, there are much better options nearby with the same location.
