Verona in Kyrylivka

Booked 3 rooms for the duration of 11 days this year (2020). We took the oldest building that was 600grv per room per day. Upon coming to the territory the rooms were not ready. We came at 13:30 even though the check in should be from 12. None of the rooms were ready. Owner (Katja) did not care that we were a bit upset about it (after a trip from Kiev), nor did she apologize. In general, during our stay she was not all that hospitable.

Around 15.00 all the rooms were ready. I will post the pictures of the interior, so you can be the judge yourself. I am aware this is a basic accommodation but still, it should be in a better state. It's apparent that the owners are preoccupied with building an extension with more accommodation. But that doesn't excuse them from not investing or maintaining the existing ones. Small shop on the territory is sufficient and has good prices. We tried on two separate occasions to eat at Verona, but have found better/tastier options elsewhere. Swimming pools are beautiful (well, they are new) and kids enjoy them a lot. They clean them daily and are usually ready to be enjoyed from 9:00 till 19:00. It can get noisy around the pool, especially if you have "younger" guest staying there, but sound proofing of the rooms is very good. If you are a parent, you will quickly notice that Verona is missing a decent kids zone. There is one swing/kids house and that's it. And even that is very old and looks kinda dangerous. You might think you don't need more and that the pools are sufficient, but your kid/kids need to do something when evening comes. Kids entertainer act is twice a week for an hour. Public kitchen is available however I suggest you take your own pans/pots.

Overall, I wasn't impressed with Verona and would not recommend it. Accommodation was a big let down and the owners/staff did not make us feel welcome. Exception was the shop assistant.
