Legacy Suites Extended Stay in Phoenix

I witnessed my friend try to rent here. They practice "fuzzy math" which should be criminal. Every dollar you have will be leeched from you. The place is a dump. It's sad that people trying to find a place to stay are victimized by the management. Two application fees, two deposits and don't even think about a refund!

I was told about this complex with decent reviews. So I looked into it. The price was right in my budget and I felt blessed despite the distance from work I decided to apply online for a studio apartment. Submitting my application online was a pretty simple process the application fee was more then I would want it to be but I paid it for myself and my fiance to apply. Still happy that the process was easy. However, that is where the positiveness ended. After submitting the application I waited days to hear anything soon it was a couple weeks. Finally hearing absolutely nothing from staff and getting an automated run around on the phone when I called leaving multiple messages my fiance dropped by to find out what was going on. He got brushed off handed an email address to submit supporting documents. I did as we were asked and STILL heard nothing back. We went in together to see what was going on and was told our application was being processed by the home office.... It has been months now... Still not one single call email nothing. The people in the office acted down right annoyed that we were stopping in. I am incredibly disappointed in the customer service displayed by this place. I am glad now we didn't move in there. We feel robbed of the application fee. If we were denied it would have been different. At least we would have known what was going on. But hearing nothing makes us feel like we might as well have used the money as kindling... Maybe not even that. Kindling could have at least kept us warm....

People we're so friendly. Everyone from front desk to people staying there. Rooms are older and heavily used but clean. Mattresses looked like a truck ran over them but we're clean. Lots of different smells when driving through parking lot which is dank looking..

The outside looked nice and this is the cheapest weekly rental I've come across but once you leave the office every corner of the building smelt like a Marijuana. I would not think twice about even staying here. It just didn't feel comfortable or safe.

This place use to have good management. The front desk customer service is very poor. It’s over priced for all the rudeness you get.They tell u $209 a wk. but it’s really $250 a week after 90 days.The rooms are small, The kitchen sink is tiny, BE Aware they advertise you can Bar BQ However there in NO Bar B Q grill. So be prepared to spend a lot on food because you u can’t even wash a pot in the sink. Theres cheap mattresses, Everyone here pretty much have a pit bulls. This place is just a TEMPORARY place if you desperate.

I read the reviews before going but went with an open mind. However, the reviews I read were right on regarding the experience with the front desk. I spoke with Stephanie, and I only know that because I asked for her name after telling her mind (Not that she asked). She didn't greet me when I came on. She acted very disinterested and as if it were a bother for me to ask her questions. I asked if I could see a model and she informed me there wasn't any availibality. She did not check to see when anything would be available. I asked when I should check back and she said "tomorrow". She never smiled, never acted as if I were welcome and basically just confirmed that I didn't want to spend my money there. Further, the property appeared quite rundown and uninviting. I did not tour the apartment (obviously) but didn't have to in order to know it was not a place I wanted to be for any length of time.
