Homewood Suites Phoenix-Scottsdale in Scottsdale

I am a gold member for hikton and this hotel was not ehat i would expect from the hilton name. Hotel is old. Hallways are dirty not sure when they vacuumed that last. The shower in my room half worked and there are cracks in the surround. Not up to par with other Homewoods I stay at.

This Homewood is definitely not up to Homewood standards. Needs remodeling, rooms are dated and small. Pool? Well most people's home pool is larger and it's basically off the parking lot. Our non smoking room was smoky, mostly due to a smoking area just outside doors right by AC intake. Fitness room very limited in equipment. Staff is nice though and breakfast typical Homewood kept well stocked.

Everything about booking here was a hassle. Booked 2 stays. Both situations the management never sent me or contacted me with the room # or the security code to the room. I had to call several times asking for it. The hallways had a terrible smell in it. One of my 2 booked stays was for 3 nights, they don't provide any changeover or fresh towels. The soap supplied in the rooms is not soap. Not sure what it was, had to go buy soap. The shower curtain was about 4" short of staying in the tub, so each shower required a clean up of water on the floor. Neither TV worked. On the second stay we realized they weren't even hooked up. I was able to get one hooked up and working though didn't really need it. The room itself was clean upon arrival. The furniture is old, 20+ years I'd guess. I wouldn't use this location again.

They are THIEVES - I found and reserved this via Hotels dot com and I logged in to double check it said I had to go to this Metro website to complete the reservation. When I got there it said I had to leave my CC for a damage deposit (this was very odd but I take good care of things so I wasn't concerned about damaging anything so I said sure). I ended up in the ER with a critical health condition 3 days before my flight and cancel everything the next day 48 hours which was plenty of time as everything said I could cancel safely within 24 hours. NOW I find out that they intended to keep my damage deposit. WTH? Ya .. NO FREAKING WAY .. bunch of thieves hoping some portion of people won't fight them to get their money back. very very sad world and these folks are who make it that way.
