Very quiet and beautiful bed and breakfast inn with a great location near the beach. Ample parking in front and back. They had a vegetarian breakfast option u but it included eggs (not vegan). The only problem was the bathroom shower was a bit cramped and old.

Beautiful, clean, quiet and located in a great neighborhood within easy walking distance of the beach. Really tasty breakfast. Staff was incredibly personable and helpful.

This in is charming! It's a short walk to the beach! They provide a delicious breakfast at no charge and are very friendly. We stayed in one of the cottage rooms and it's cozy. We bring visitors here because we adore it so much. Very affordable compared to other inns in Carmel as well!

Amazing, cozy little place. Very home like with amazing staff. They make sure you feel right at home and do their best to make sure you're comfortable. Although the best part is the breakfast with hand prepared dishes and self serve coffee, orange juice, milk, yogurt, etc.
Also, it's walking distance to the beach and you can hear the waves crashing from the front door! Definitely a romantic place to stay if you're in the area.

Charming inn with lots of character. It’s expensive for a place to sleep. Clean but not very comfortable. An easy stroll to the beach. Front desk was never manned and staff were not wearing masks in the kitchen around the food.

Beware there are better options. Small bedroom. Small bathroom. Terrible staff. Booked a 5 night stay and only stayed 4 nights. Paid the full amount. Roughly $700-800 a night. Went during car week so everything is pricey and I understand that fully. Coming from the east coast I didn’t make it for breakfast so can’t say if it’s good or not. My husband did and said it was decent, nothing to brag about. The cherry on top is one morning we leave for auction around 10:30am and see that people are still eating their croissants and enjoying breakfast. I ask the lady in kitchen if we can have a croissant and she simply says “You should have woken up earlier. We stopped serving breakfast”. I was speechless. I turned around and walked away. The fact that we were in the kitchen and she wouldn’t offer some bread from the pricey and rundown establishment was absolutely ridiculous. Hospitality is dead at Sandpiper Inn.

This might have been the most comfortable night of sleep I’ve ever had.
Picture this: windows open, light breeze, you can hear the ocean, and sleeping on quite possibly the softest bed I’ve ever used.
In the morning, you’ll have an incredible quiche and croissant breakfast served by delightful staff. 10/10 would recommend.
Oh, you also have a view of the ocean and it’s only a 2 minute walk to the ocean and 20 minute walk downtown

We like the location, close to the beach. Love the breakfast and building. Service was so so for us, lack of service upon arrival at 6:30pm (had to look around the property for a staff to open the front door). WiFi was terrible for us given we are in the back building, so had to go to the common area ( this was a huge disappointment)
