This was my second stay. One of the receptionists, an Asian woman, was very rude and didn't smile at all. The other staff were very nice; they even offered to roast marshmallows for my child. Breakfast offered both buffet and à la carte options, and the staff were very attentive.

Except for the poor sound insulation, everything else is very satisfactory

I stayed in Monterey for two nights to watch whales. The hotel is very close to the port and it is very convenient to drive for ten minutes. However, I was very seasick when I went out to sea. I fell asleep as soon as I got back to the hotel. The breakfast the next day was quite rich, with fried rice

It was an excellent hotel & resort. The room was nice and tidy, with a bathroom with good shower water pressure. Its breakfast was also excellent with good and friendly service. Only thing it lacks was elevator, so I recommend the first floor room with patio.

The hotels are all OK, but the prices on Ctrip are getting more and more expensive. They charge about 15% more than other booking sites. I can no longer book hotels and air tickets on Ctrip.

There is a golf course next to the hotel, the environment is OK. But the hotel is a bit small

Unbeatable sea view, good service, but no parking lot. Of course, the valet doorman is very good.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean outside the window. During dinner, you can see whales, dolphins, seals and other marine life swimming nearby, which was a pleasant surprise.

There is no need to live in Carmel nearby, this is enough, the cleanest and best place at the same price

When I checked in at the hotel, I happened to see the beautiful sunset on the large terrace on the first floor. The service staff was very friendly and brought a microwave for us. Thank you very much! The surrounding sea view is unforgettable!

It was already evening when we arrived in Monterey. After checking in, we hurried to dine at a Thai restaurant not far away. The town was very quiet. Although we didn’t pay much attention to the environment around the hotel, when we went to the hotel for coffee early in the morning, we saw how beautiful the sea and sky next to the hotel were. This is a relatively good hotel in this trip to the United States. It is close to the beach and the surrounding scenery is quite pleasing to the eye. But the balcony is a bit too small and the room is relatively old.

The front desk service was excellent, there's free parking, and it's quiet!

Good location and friendly staff with warm service. Very impressed on check in by staff Mr Alan. He was courteous and helpful on check in. Took time to explain and highlight the amenities available. The place feels safe and has 2 levels of secure and well lighted parking. Food and grocery are 5mins of driving away . Old Fisherman Whatf is a must to visit for dining and shopping. Neatly themed and decorated...

The hotel was okay, but the breakfast was poor.

The bathroom had a strange, unpleasant smell from the renovations. However, the hotel's location was excellent, about a 15-minute walk to Monterey Marina. The town itself is small but bustling. The hotel provided a hot breakfast, and the staff were friendly.

The front desk staff were very rude. When I checked in, the staff entered my credit card information incorrectly, but they were still rude to me.

It is near the Fisherman's wharf. A cozy place to stay.

One of my favorite hotels the service is good. The rooms are always clean and the breakfast is amazing.

While we enjoyed our stay and it has been a few years since our previous stay took place, we were disappointed that the hotel switched from real firewood fireplaces to gas only in the room’s. Just not the same experience. With that said, the staff was great, the room was clean and we enjoyed our stay.

Great customer service, our room was spacious, clean and the continental room service breakfast was great!

Everything was good the receptionist could have been a little more friendly but the place is immaculate Well worth the price

At first look, the hotel is very old. The carpet in the room was ancient and needed replacing and the room smelled musty. However, overall the experience was very good with a great breakfast, staff, wine hour and helpfulness when deciding where to eat. It is centrally located and within walking distance to beaches, parks, restaurants and shopping. I would likely stay there again.

The room was fine. The staff were great. Area was really convenient and close to downtown. Only con was my room was next to the back door, and there was a crazy woman banging the back door claiming she lived there. The staff came and handled her, but it was very scary to experience because it woke me from my sleep

Room clean and staff very attentive & courteous! Background music throughout the day was most enjoyable. Enjoyed the garden setting in the late afternoons. Not a fan of the Hawaiian punch juice offered at the breakfast but the granola/fruit was lovely and the coffee was great

Our room was not ocean front but there was a sitting room available with ocean view. Breakfast was varied and delicious. It was a quaint bnb and offered unique activities for families like pool, ping pong,etc

Very limited breakfast choices. There is no lobby.. and no 24x7 service available. More like a old large home converted to a hotel. The old decor as a good antique touch but the condition is not great. It is actually old. No Ocean view from the room. Most rooms do not have any ocean view.

I loved it here. Spent my 30th birthday and did a photoshoot in the room. It’s sooooo cute! Breakfast was delicious. The views are phenomenal. Definitely will stay here again!

Great location, comfortable bed, nice fireplace in our room. Breakfast with an Oceanview and walking distance from the Aquarium.

Excellent location, within walking distance of the aquarium along a beautiful shore path. Beautiful central courtyard garden, unbelievable view from breakfast, which was quite good. Rooms are decorated with antiques which made it slightly crowded.

Great experience. Walking distance from beach. Unusual orientation of room with sink outside bathroom but otherwise not a bad place to stay at all.

Beautiful, rustic campus just a few minutes walk from state beach. Gorgeous natural setting. Simple king bed room showed it's age, but it has high ceilings and picture windows, and was roomy and comfortable. There are two free EV chargers on site, but with the prevalence of electric vehicles in CA, they were in constant use during our stay.

The room was spacious, but we had issues with both sinks. One was clogged and we couldn’t turn off the water from the other one. We had to close the valve from under the sink. The property is beautiful but the fact that they have no TV or microwave in the room was disappointing.

We enjoyed the fireplace in the common room. They got it ready for us when we came back from dinner.

Welcoming, knowledgeable front desk staff (thanks, Chris!). Modern, clean room with quiet fridge; plenty of space. Beautiful outdoor pool was temporarily closed, but the grounds invite exploration. Wonderful place to spend a few days. Stone fireplace in historic lodge and in some rooms. We love staying in this State park.

Centrally located in PG. It was awesome falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Roomy room that needs an update. Grounds are nested in beautiful cypresses. Lots of wildlife around the grounds.

The room had a weird odor. The mirror had a crack and later on I step on what I think was a pebble size broken mirror. Hangers were super rusted. WiFi was being super difficult. Not a lot of channel options on the tv.

The price was great and you get what you pay for so no harm no foul. The staff was very helpful and nice. The room was quiet. Now for the downside, walls were dirty, carpet was dirty, and there was an armchair that was soiled and really gross. The stairs up to the second floor need a good pressure washing. They were also dirty and gross. The coffee machine did not work. I would pay a little bit...

It smells a bit. And facilities are quite old. Sound proof is none. Good location. Easy to shop around.

Very basic motel. Probably only 12 rooms so it is quiet, but the parking lot is tiny and hard to navigate with suvs. Provided breakfast was basic but at least something.

Very clean and nice inn. Parking is very easy. Location is great.

The smalls towels were dirty. The tv is not smart but everything else was perfect.

Charming and comfortable stay in Monterey Really enjoyed our stay here! Padre Oaks is a cozy, budget-friendly spot with a great location — just a short drive to Cannery Row and other Monterey highlights. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly, and parking was easy. It's not fancy, but it has everything you need for a relaxing stop on a road trip. Would definitely stay here again...

This is a pretty good motel with lovely surroundings and a great location. There's a gas station right nearby, and it's very convenient for visiting 17 Mile Drive and Carmel. We were even allowed to check in early at 11 AM, which was a huge plus. Our room came with a fridge and a microwave. Just a heads-up: don't inspect the bedsheets too closely, and you'll find nothing else to complain about! Haha

Awesome location, very clean and nice people checked us in. The only drawback was breakfast...would have preferred some healthier options. Coffee was great!

Price was decent and the room was just enough, size wise. Bathroom were nice and updated. Short drive to golf and beach. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location. We were able to walk to the ocean path and downtown. We liked the simple breakfast and were able to sit at the tables outside and eat.

Great, quiet place to stay It’s walking distance from a lot of parks and nice view points. We went to the aquarium which was only 5 minutes from there. We would stay again!

We stayed here two nights on a family road trip with 2 adults and 2 teens. The space is smallish but worked for our needs. We appreciated the location — easy to everywhere we wanted to visit. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom with nice a clean. The room lighting was extremely bright so be aware of that if you’re sensitive to that sort of thing. Overall we had a great stay!

The room are spacious for a family of 4. The location just off the main road, we were worried about the road noise but fortunately we were able to sleep well with the good sound proof of the window and door. Breakfast choice not much. Bed is comfortable and clean. We are happy with the stay and definitely will stay here again.

It’s small, but pet friendly and charming. This is located right across the street from a shopping center: Whole Foods, CPK, Williams Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Kona Steakhouse etc. It has a small outdoor pet relief area with grass. It’s simple and quaint.

We had the lovely room with the fireplace. Really cozy & it even had a private garden but we couldn't use it as it was rainy & quite cold. Overall good stay

Room clould have been a little more clean. Painters tape pieces still left around the shutters, water cap left in the shower, shampoo/conditioner/body wash were very gunky. Dark marks on the ceiling around the shower. Tub is extremely slippery (mat provided is very small for the size of the tub). Elevator stopped working on our second day and walking up and down stairs with kids and 6 months pregnant...

All around a good bargain! A little outdated feeling rooms but the city is the experience not the room.

When we first walked in, there was what seemed to be a manager and a subordinate arguing in front of myself and another guest. I know pet friendly for dogs, lovely secluded location. Very quiet, comfortable beds, excellent showers, well appointed kitchen, private and lovely back garden to our suite. Very responsive staff. Eighth time here, and they have yet to disappoint.

The woman that checked us in was adorable. Very thorough in her explanation about things.

We enjoyed our stay and was so happy with our room upgrade. Customer service was great. Rooms were clean, staff was nice , amenities were excellent. Area and location was very nice with a lot of places to see and had great places to eat and shop. We definitely come back . Thank you for making our stay memorable.

Welcoming staff so friendly! Our cottage was nice and spacious, had full kitchen.Best thing they have real wood burning fireplace!! Comfy. Beds!! Have. Easy free parking. Have a dvd free rentals, free snacks for breakfast,yogurt,cider & hot chocolate! We’ve been coming here 4 last 6 yrs- never disappoints!! Our favorite place in Monterey/Pacific Grove!!

When we checked in, we were greeted with a smile and friendly conversation. Our dogs loved running in the open grassy area and taking pictures on the chairs. The room was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. Looking forward to our next stay.

Wow! What a gem, and a pet friendly one too! The pet rules are common sense, but this is easily the most pet friendly place I’ve ever been! The cottage was perfect, plenty of space to stretch out, full living room / dining room and kitchen, king bedroom and 1 1/2 baths! Oh and the patio. And, the fireplace of course! Bed was comfortable. Service was outstanding. Thank you for a great stay!
