Hotels in Monterey

This was my second stay. One of the receptionists, an Asian woman, was very rude and didn't smile at all. The other staff were very nice; they even offered to roast marshmallows for my child. Breakfast offered both buffet and à la carte options, and the staff were very attentive.

Except for the poor sound insulation, everything else is very satisfactory

I stayed in Monterey for two nights to watch whales. The hotel is very close to the port and it is very convenient to drive for ten minutes. However, I was very seasick when I went out to sea. I fell asleep as soon as I got back to the hotel. The breakfast the next day was quite rich, with fried rice

It was an excellent hotel & resort. The room was nice and tidy, with a bathroom with good shower water pressure. Its breakfast was also excellent with good and friendly service. Only thing it lacks was elevator, so I recommend the first floor room with patio.

The hotels are all OK, but the prices on Ctrip are getting more and more expensive. They charge about 15% more than other booking sites. I can no longer book hotels and air tickets on Ctrip.

There is a golf course next to the hotel, the environment is OK. But the hotel is a bit small

Unbeatable sea view, good service, but no parking lot. Of course, the valet doorman is very good.

The room was spacious and comfortable, with a spectacular view of the Pacific Ocean outside the window. During dinner, you can see whales, dolphins, seals and other marine life swimming nearby, which was a pleasant surprise.

There is no need to live in Carmel nearby, this is enough, the cleanest and best place at the same price

When I checked in at the hotel, I happened to see the beautiful sunset on the large terrace on the first floor. The service staff was very friendly and brought a microwave for us. Thank you very much! The surrounding sea view is unforgettable!

This is a relatively good hotel in this trip to the United States. It is close to the beach and the surrounding scenery is quite pleasing to the eye. But the balcony is a bit too small and the room is relatively old.

Our suite was fabulous old Victorian style & the breakfast was order from the menu and it delicious.

We stayed in the Edith Head Room and had a magical time. The "partial" ocean view was more ocean than I expected, and the wood burning fireplace was very cool. Loved our stay. A really nice place for a quiet get away. Not really a place for a family, more geared to couples. My wife and I loved our accommodations. The breakfast was nice and part of the cost. Highly recommend.

An old house near the sea (cliff scenery). There is parking space, which is very convenient. There is hot water, a coffee buffet area, breakfast, and comprehensive facilities. The hotel was okay, but the breakfast was poor.

The bathroom had a strange, unpleasant smell from the renovations. However, the hotel's location was excellent, about a 15-minute walk to Monterey Marina. The town itself is small but bustling. The hotel provided a hot breakfast, and the staff were friendly.

The front desk staff were very rude. When I checked in, the staff entered my credit card information incorrectly, but they were still rude to me.

It is near the Fisherman's wharf. A cozy place to stay.

Room location extremely noisy. Bar across the street played loud music until 2am. Staff was unresponsive to my notification. Our room was not nothing like the photo on the website. It was small and unimpressive, not worth the cost at all. Very disappointing!!!

Beware! This Hotel has no Air Conditioning and there is a bar directly across the street blaring loud music with a line of loud drunk people waiting to get in. This was really bad our first night which was warm so that we had to have windows open or be very hot. We stayed in a cottage and it’s spacious and clean. The inn is in great location, walkable to dining, shops and beach area. Breakfast is a bonus and tasty. Friendly staff and charming place.

The room was clean. The house was really nice. Breakfast a nice change from other hotels the only problem that the room was pretty small nowhere to put a suitcase or toiletries but for one night, it was fine

A B&B with a history of 1889 has a sense of time. The garden is beautifully maintained. The independent rooms are very cozy, with heating and fireplace. It is very close to the seaside and convenient for eating nearby.

Price was decent and the room was just enough, size wise. Bathroom were nice and updated. Short drive to golf and beach. Would definitely stay there again.

Great location. We were able to walk to the ocean path and downtown. We liked the simple breakfast and were able to sit at the tables outside and eat.

Great, quiet place to stay It’s walking distance from a lot of parks and nice view points. We went to the aquarium which was only 5 minutes from there. We would stay again!

We stayed here two nights on a family road trip with 2 adults and 2 teens. The space is smallish but worked for our needs. We appreciated the location — easy to everywhere we wanted to visit. The beds were comfortable and the room and bathroom with nice a clean. The room lighting was extremely bright so be aware of that if you’re sensitive to that sort of thing. Overall we had a great stay!

Beds we hard, and the lady at the front desk seemed annoyed that we were checking in. I stayed there 2 times and got the same feeling from her. Will not stay there again.

Charming Quite a charming, well kept 2-story motel with window boxes planted with geraniums. Comfortable room and bed. Bathroom was nicely upgraded, but the floor of the shower could use some cove molding. Breakfast was minimal at best; no bagels, no bananas, not even juice of any kind. If not for the breakfast I would have given this place 5-stars.

Welcoming, knowledgeable front desk staff (thanks, Chris!). Modern, clean room with quiet fridge; plenty of space. Beautiful outdoor pool was temporarily closed, but the grounds invite exploration. Wonderful place to spend a few days. Stone fireplace in historic lodge and in some rooms. We love staying in this State park.

Centrally located in PG. It was awesome falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean. Roomy room that needs an update. Grounds are nested in beautiful cypresses. Lots of wildlife around the grounds.

Parking was easy and safe. Older building so noise travels and there was no fan or AC so room was hot and stuffy. No coffeemaker but there was a common room microwave.

Very nice area with beautiful beach access and lots of trees. Our son fell and staff was really friendly and helped us with a well stocked first aid kit.

Room quality was lacking. The property overall was very picturesque. However, our only issue was with the room - very dated - no TV, no phone, faucets in the bathroom old and rusty. Shower doors were moldy. Very poor lighting. Room had a musty, old smell to it. Felt like we were “glamping”. Maybe this was what they intended but not what we expected.

The price was great and you get what you pay for so no harm no foul. The staff was very helpful and nice. The room was quiet. Now for the downside, walls were dirty, carpet was dirty, and there was an armchair  that was soiled and really gross. The stairs up to the second floor need a good pressure washing. They were also dirty and gross. The coffee machine did not work. I would pay a little bit...

we stayed at monterey very often. we have always been treated right by the staff, the service is nice.The rooms are excellent and price is pretty fair. Want to stay somewhere nice go to in this hotel.

stayed here for a few nights and it was great, very quiet and relaxing. the rooms are clean and service is standard. nothing to complain about, location is great your near restaurants and stores and not very far from the beach, great environment!

A good price value stay. Location is not the best if your stay is focused on Monterey. Staff is friendly and rooms are decently clean.It was a great value (and location) for what I paid.

There was hair that didn't belong to us on the bathroom floor, and the chairs in the hotel room were visibly stained, making us hesitant to sit on them. Otherwise, it was okay. Surprisingly, there was a fireplace in the room, which was a nice touch.

It was overpriced for such a small room. Other hotels next door were half the price — please check other hotels before booking.

Air conditioning works perfect. The room is spacious and clean .i would definitely recommend it.

Overall our stay was nice. The only 2 downsides, were the spa tub in our room (jets barely worked) and the thin window pane (street noise).

Lovely Pacific Grove Very nice property , plenty of room in the 2 bedroom with kitchen and living room . Would stay more often but there is a 4 day minimum most of the year. Most of the breakfast items are snacks but did have yogurt and hard boiled eggs . Hot tub is quite small considering how many rooms there are . Grounds are well kept .

We loved our cottage and how private each cottage was. The grounds were beautiful and everything was well taken care of. We definitely want to stay here again.

Fabulous, quiet location next to Asilomar Conference Center. Just a 5 minute walk to the beach. The bus route stops right in front as well though we did not use it. Excellent staff!

Such an amazing property and set of staff running it. Service is top notch, and it's such a neat setup. Cannot wait to come back in the next year or two, and would recommend it to anyone traveling to Pacific Grove.
