Comfortable and Convenient Basecamp for Yosemite Adventures

The Best Western Plus Yosemite Gateway Inn proved to be an excellent choice for our recent trip to Yosemite. Located in Mariposa, it offers a convenient and comfortable base for exploring the park, without the premium price tag of lodging inside Yosemite Valley. The drive to the park entrance is scenic and manageable, making it easy to access all the major attractions.

The hotel itself is well-maintained and offers all the essential amenities for a relaxing stay. Our room was clean, spacious, and equipped with comfortable beds, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of hiking. The complimentary breakfast was a definite plus, providing a hearty start to our mornings before hitting the trails. The pool and hot tub were also a welcome treat for unwinding in the evenings.

What impressed me most was the friendly and helpful staff. They were knowledgeable about the park and offered valuable tips on hiking trails and attractions. If you're looking for a comfortable, affordable, and conveniently located hotel for your Yosemite adventure, the Best Western Plus Yosemite Gateway Inn is a solid choice.

This spot was very enjoyable. I loved the set up where I felt like it was a cottage community. There was an indoor pool with a hot tub, which I was able to enjoy. There was also a gym and a laundry room I didn’t get to have time to explore yet knowing it was there made me like this inn. We were able to get free breakfast, in which they had a variety. The location was in a desirable location. 

Now the service I would’ve said impeccable but I did experience an odd situation where room service didn’t fully service the room. One bed was undone due to a person blanket we didn’t remove, yet the other bed was halfway done. Other than that I would’ve rated 10/10 for all the smiles and great attitudes all around. The young gentleman receptionist was so kind and generous. I would definitely come back to this Inn.

Located about 30 mins from entrance to Yosemite NP (Mariposa Grove). Decently sized room with a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Didn’t make use of amenities (pool or fitness center). Breakfast was included which was also decent (buffet style). Restaurant in the hotel was also not bad.

The hotel is built on the mountain, the environment is very good, the room feels average, overall it is recommended

This hotel surprised us, the staff were very friendly: special mention goes to Caio at breakfast and Sebastian at reception, who are such lovely people. The included breakfast has many options, the history of the hotel is beautiful and there is art everywhere in the hotel. The property is large and we had a great walk and experience in the heated pool. The rooms are clean, without luxury and practical for our visit to Yosemite Park.

This is my second time staying at his place. It is a manor-style hotel. We booked a 2-bedroom 1-bathroom suite. The environment is very good. The American buffet breakfast included is also very good. The indoor facilities are a bit old.

We have nothing but good things to say about this place! Beautiful party of the country, an easy drive to yosemite. Amazing on site restaurant and breakfast! We had a huge family group come through, and they were so great and helpful! It is retro style, but in good shape! We loved it!
