This is my first time booking this hotel. The room is good, compact and suitable. The disadvantage is that the breakfast is not ideal, the variety is not enough, and the corridor is a bit noisy.

Had a pleasant stay here! Staff was professional and service was good. Rooms were clean and presentable. Breakfast was good, not the same thing every morning which is an absolute plus!! The best part was the view when you walk out the front door! Amazing...!!

Great place to stay. Nice, friendly staff. The WiFi is easy to connect to and fast. Hotel and rooms were well kept and clean. Only complaint is late in the evening/early morning it was hard to get assistance at the front desk. There didn't seem to be a paging system or bell that I noticed, and it took a little time for someone to notice I was there.

Not the most updated property but don’t let the age of the property deter you. This is by far the CLEANEST room I have stayed in. The rooms are smaller and they don’t have the most updated technology but again SO SO clean!! I’ve stayed in 4 star hotels that weren’t as clean as this one! The pool is also very clean, indoor, for those rainy days. The breakfast is ok but the lady who does the breakfast...

Nice hotel, and decent prices. Breakfast is good. The rooms are pretty small compared to other Hampton properties. Not all the rooms have Fridges or Microwaves, but the frontdesk does have them available as long as you ask. The staff will do their best to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. This was not the problem. We had a room where the toilet seat was broken, the vent cover was broken, not iron ,not hair dryer, what was put in the small cooler would freeze, but the worst part was the coffee maker didn't work. The coffee maker was missing a part to it. We asked for another one. We was told that they didn't have any extra. But they had rooms that wasn't rented. They could have given...

The staff is very friendly. They allow pets. There is a small fee for the pets, don't try to hide your pets since the cost of the pets will be 2.5 times what it would be if you just let them know and you will be charged for the room and asked to leave. The rooms could use some work, but for the price, they are a good clean place to lay your head at night.

Ms. Sandy at the front desk is always so amenable and pleasant! Super helpful and quick when checking us in. We have visited this hotel more than once due to her sweet, kind nature! Rooms are fairly big, nice large bathroom as well. P.S. no breakfast just coffee.....

The room was clean. The beds were comfortable. Despite past reviews of bed bugs....we stayed and inspected. There was nothing!! It was quiet and for the record dis not see anyone untoward. It was a pleasant stay especially for the price!!

Liked it a lot better than woodspring suites or super 8. More privacy better room.. Altho it didnt have full kitchen.

Room looked newly cleaned and smelled fresh, Staff at the desk were polite and quick, Would recommend for short trips with friends.

I Was honestly surprised how clean everything was. TV had enough channels, bathroom was fine, and bed was comfortable.

We came for a short vacation and this place worked out well. The common area was clean, parking was easy, and no weird smells.

Visited with my mom for a weekend trip. Room was clean, smelled good, and beds were nice. Liked the little coffee station.

Rented for 2 nights, the next morning I left to do my thing and came back they never set my bed and only left clean towels, toilet didn’t flush properly and was handed the plunger! I didn’t know that it was up to us to fix the issue

This newly updated, beautifully decorated studio downtown apartment has beautiful natural light and a newly updated kitchen. With fast Wi-Fi this apartment is a great space for business travelers or those who want to spend a night in relaxing and watching Netflix. You will be located walking distance to a free shuttle that can take you to all downtown restaurants, shops, and breweries.

This unit has its own bathroom with shower, kitchen, living space, and bedroom. You will be provided with fresh sheets, towels, hand towels, wash cloths, and essentials like soap, toilet paper etc.
Access to the house and to the apartment will be keyless. While the entry is shared but the space your unit will be completely private. This unit is on the first floor of the building. The access code will be provided to you when you on the day you check in.

You will have access to our front porch. Enjoy the beautiful weather Colorado has to offer. Sit back and relax with your morning coffee or an evening night cap.
Guests have access to a shared washer and dryer. They are open for use for our guest from 9am until 9pm, and must be complete by 10pm. Laundry pods and dryer sheets are provided.

Parking street parking and is first come first serve.
This is a fourplex that has a mixture of short-term rentals and long-term tenants (please be mindful).

While we cannot guarantee early check-ins or late check-outs. If we are able to accommodate an early check-in or late check-out, we can do this free of charge. Check with us the day before to see if we can accommodate your request.

While this fourplex doesn’t have central AC, there is a window unit during the summer months.

No pets or kids allowed at this time- we are sorry!

The apartment isn’t completely level. There are places in the apartment where the floor has dipped a little. Please be mindful.

Doorways are shorter than newer homes, if you are tall you might need to duck while going through them.

This is one of four units in an old Victorian house. You may hear noise from other guests or tenants due to the age of the house.
No parties are allowed at this property. Only guests that are confirmed on the booking are allowed at the property. If there will be any additional guests during your stay, they need to be confirmed with host prior to being on the property.

Step back in time and feel a little groovy in this 1960's style apartment. Equipped with so many... essentials for life to have you feeling the love. This is a private apartment in a home built in the 1900's.
The space
As soon as you walk through the door you will feel like you just stepped into your own home. That's how welcome you are.
The private entrance is located at the top of the front porch steps. The back door leads to the patio.
No need to worry about getting to the supermarket right away if you arrive late, a breakfast snack is provided. The kitchen is equipped with popular spices, a coffee maker, French press, toaster, blender, gas range top, toaster oven, microwave and a full size fridge.
The restroom comes with: shampoo, body wash, conditioner, hand soap , towels, and walk in shower.
The bedroom comes with a queen size bed for two guests. There are local channels to watch on TV but no cable or satellite networks. There is a blu- ray player. If you have Netflix, the TV is set up for Netflix.
High speed Internet is provided to make your stay more convenient. The code is on the fridge and will be in your welcome letter.
Please be aware heeled shoes or heavy walking is noisy on the poor souls below, hence the name "Walk Softly in the 60's". Please walk gently.
There is a COIN laundry available on the lower level of the house. A screen door located on the south side of the house leads you to the laundry room, also known as "The Dungeon." Laundry soap is provided.
Parking is on the street or behind the house ( there are two spaces, one for the guest in apt. 4)
A welcome letter will be sent to you a few days before your arrival with access information. I will give you the code to enter the apartment at that time. No need to worry about meeting up with me because you do not need a key; it is actually very convenient.
Guest access
The entire apartment, laundry room, street parking, and back patio is available for your use.
Other things to note
This is an entire apartment to vacation in. The house was converted from a one family home to 4 apartments many, many years ago in the 1950's. Cozy Solar Cottage on the West Side

About this space
My cottage is centrally located, close to downtown--within walking distance.... Garden of the Gods, road to Pikes Peak, & Colorado College are minutes away. The interior is quaint and cozy, but has a roomy kitchen, fully stocked for preparing food. The outdoor space is peaceful and relaxing. I have a detailed list of restaurants & things to do. You'll love the access to an urban trail (Monument Park), comfy queen bed, and great coffee! A coffee shop and breakfast place is within walking distance.
The space
The cottage is the ideal locale for a couple wanting a getaway, for 2-3 friends traveling, a small family, for those adventuring, for those here on business, or for just relaxing by the cozy fire.
The cottage is in west Colorado Springs. It is minutes away from downtown and some of the finest brewpubs and eateries in the region, most within walking distance (1/2 to 1 mile). Plenty of coffee shops abound as well--locals and Starbucks. If you care to venture out into some of our world class trails and parks, the Garden of the Gods is a 10 minute drive for gorgeous hiking. The road that takes you to the summit of America's Mountain, Pikes Peak, is a 20 minute drive. Or you can venture further and take a scenic drive to the central mountains for skiing, climbing, hiking or sightseeing. Or explore Colorado Springs "Olympic City"! Inside the cottage are maps & guidebooks to guide you on one of the myriad of adventures in the Colorado Springs area. I've listed many of my favorite restaurants, parks, & open spaces in the House Information sheet inside the cottage.
The main house is a charming 1909 Victorian and the cottage was originally a carriage house. It is behind the main house, separated by a patio, garden area, and a privacy fence. There is parking right next to the cottage. The interior was remodeled in 2016, and is whimsically decorated with hand-made artifacts and accessories, many from local artisans and photographers. It has vaulted ceilings and is painted in cheerful to muted tones. Although the kitchen is spacious, airy and open, there is little separation between the kitchen and sitting area and bedroom--more like a studio apartment. The stove is a four-burner with oven and broiler and the refrigerator is not quite full sized, but close. The kitchen is equipped with lots of pots and pans for baking and cooking, and there is a microwave and an electric kettle. Cabinets are well stocked with staples and great coffee that can be brewed or served as pour-over.
The queen bed has a down comforter-super cozy, and most of my guests remark about the comfort of the bed. There are two ceiling fans to help circulate the air in winter and summer, and there is a portable air conditioner in the summer. Adjacent to the bedroom is a small sitting area with a love seat-sized couch that easily converts into a twin bed--it has a memory foam mattress and is quite comfy. Also in the sitting area is an arm chair, floor lamp and end table--all are close to the cozy gas fireplace--great place to read or catch up on emails.
The bathroom has an adorable corner sink, and the glass-enclosed shower and floor are finished in ceramic tile. The shower is small, and it may be a tight squeeze for a very large person.
The wifi is excellent, and allows for streaming on the Smart TV. If you don't have a streaming account, you can always watch on your laptop.
A privacy fence surrounds the property, and there is a small but private outdoor area next to the cottage and within the enclosed back yard that has a quaint cast iron table and 2 chairs. Perfect for morning coffee or afternoon adult beverage!
Occasionally a group of bucks wander into the area (not in the yard). One of them has at least 6 points. A sight to see in an urban area! A nesting pair of Redtail Hawks visits the area from March-October. Really fun to hear and observe!
The cottage is three blocks from a walking path that leads to downtown, Colorado College, or destinations beyond. It is a perfect path for a casual walk.
The cottage is a welcoming space for all. I do not discriminate based on race, religion, ability, gender, or sexual orientation.
My hope is that you enjoy every part of your stay--from making breakfast in the spacious kitchen to relaxing near the fire.
Guest access
Guests can use the entire cottage, and can hang out in the courtyard and/or the private patio when weather permits. I have veggie and flower gardens that are in full swing in spring, summer and fall, and guests are welcome to enjoy the gardens on the outdoor benches. There is off street (alley) parking right next to the cottage and a few steps from the door. There is a motion sensor at night.
Other things to note
Many guests are curious about the sale of cannabis in Colorado. Manitou Springs, which sells recreational cannabis is about 15 minutes from here. Recreational cannabis is not sold in Colorado Springs proper--only medicinal. Please respect the no smoking rule inside the cottage.
