Elkwood Manor Bed & Breakfast in Pagosa Springs

Hosts were very welcoming, location was perfect and the room was comfortable. Evening complementary happy hour was a nice touch! Breakfast was out of this world!

We enjoyed a wonderful 3- generation family reunion and celebration week with Jim and Odilia at Elkwood Manor in mid-June. We booked the entire bed & breakfast (5 suites) for our family of 11 and our experience couldn’t have been better. Our hosts were warm and welcoming, very knowledgeable and very attentive to our special dietary requirements. Odilia is a spectacular chef! The rooms and common areas are spacious and comfortable and we had plenty to do both on site and in the beautiful surrounding area. Morning coffee and evening cocktails on the deck with views of the mountains (and deer and prairie dogs) were highlights. We definitely hope to be back for another adventure someday!

We arrived as strangers and left feeling part of their family. We were greeted by Jim and Odilia when we arrived. Right away they made us feel like we were home. The place is just beautiful! The room was more than we could ask for, her breakfast was out of this world, and they have a happy hour from 5pm-7pm every day and Odilia serves home made appetizers. She also offers an evening meal,which is extra of course, with multiple options for the appetizer, entree, and dessert. We opted in for the dinner. We had the filet and you will not find a better steak at any top steakhouse. If you are in the area you must stay with them. Your stay will be unforgettable!

Jim & Odilia are wonderful hosts. We’ve stayed here at least once each of the last 3-4 years. The setting and location are great and the rooms are very comfortable. The included breakfasts are so good. Happy hour each day is so relaxing. Elkwood Manor is a great place to stay while exploring the shopping, springs, dining and outdoors in Pagosa Springs and surrounding area.

We thought this majestic property was just a wedding, party venue. Nope. It is often rented out for events, but LUCKY US, not always. Exhausted from too much fun visiting family and friends we were praying for peace and quiet in Pagosa Springs AWAY from the downtown crowds. This is a real deal gem in hotel, ambiance, proprieters (who are so delightful they are the heart and soul of this vacation experience) Imagine popping by your favorite relatives you haven't seen in ages legitimately welcoming you...and with a cocktail, no less. Do the springs thing, but stay here away from the maddening crowds. We are well pleased with this Colorado perfect Bed and outstanding breakfast.

This place is awesome. The hosts, Jim and Odilia, are so welcoming and friendly, and clearly love what they do. Our room was beautiful - large, comfortable, and rustic. We enjoyed happy hour with Jim and Odilia, and Odilia served us some delicious appetizers. Breakfast was amazing as well. If you go here, you must pet Kate, the regal house feline.

Jim and Odilia earned all this 5 star reviews. Our team offsite was a 12 on a 10 point scale in every categories. Food, hospitality, ambiance, view, hummingbirds! We look forward to seeing Jim and Odilia again.

I feel very lucky to have found Elkwood Manor bed-and-breakfast. It’s truly a magnificent property. My wife and I spent three nights there this August. We stayed in the second-floor main house room with a balcony. Very nice and private since it wasn’t directly connected to any adjoining rooms. Off of the main house public area they have a lovely spacious deck that looks out into a grass filled meadow and onwards towards what I believe are the San Juan Mountains. The owners are very gracious and always willing to serve your needs. I had some very nice conversations with Jim and his wife Ofelia. You can tell they have a genuine passion for managing a bed-and-breakfast and enjoy servicing their guests. When we first arrived we were offered several different beverages. I was particularly impressed with the fact that they had micro brew beers on hand. Happy hour every evening was great. The breakfasts were very tasty and I always left with a satisfying feeling. I also enjoyed having 24-hour access to the hot tub which provides a similar view that you see from the main deck. I hope these folks continue this business so that I can come back again each year and enjoy their hospitality. I would not hesitate to recommend this as part of a vacation getaway to my friends and family.

By far the best reservation I ever booked !!!! We stayed 5 nights on June and was worth the $. Odilia and Erika are the sweetest, they met all our needs and the our room was so cozy. Every morning our breakfast was different and would have happy hour in the afternoon to enjoy w the amazing open view of nature!!! I highly recommend Elk Wood Manor!!!!!!!!!
