We had such a wonderful stay at the Sonnenalp! The staff was incredibly kind and attentive, and our room was spacious, comfortable, and spotless. We really appreciated the complimentary SUV service, which made getting around Vail so easy. Huge shout-out to Russell—he went above and beyond with recommendations and genuine hospitality.

The location can’t be beat—just a 5-minute walk to the gondola—and the ski valet at Gorsuch made skiing with kids effortless. The holiday activities were a blast! Bully Ranch and the breakfast buffet were both excellent. We’re already looking forward to coming back next year!

I wish we would have had a phenomenal stay after spending over $1500 for two nights...however we were quite disappointed. The staff were lovely and accommodating, the but rooms were subpar, and the beds were quite uncomfortable. The worst part of our stay was the construction noise that happened right outside of our room for the full two days we stayed - this was for aesthetic repairs that the hotel did not warn us about. We did follow-up with the hotel about the noise, however we were not offered any solution except "next time we will place you in a different room." There will be no next time from us, and honestly, if you're looking for a true top tier Vail hotel experience, I recommend the Four Seasons - it is a much more comfortable and luxurious stay.

We had a great stay. Service was exceptional! Everyone was friendly and helpful with what we needed. Room was spacious and clean. It was nice to have a fireplace in the room. Location was great for getting around. We loved it and would definitely stay here again.
