Founded in 1964, the property carries an authentic Austrian charm that makes you feel as if you’ve stepped into St. Anton while still being in the heart of Vail. The on site ski and apparel boutique is beautifully curated with high end gear, and the ski rental shop offers top tier equipment that serious skiers will appreciate. The spa facilities, including sauna, steam room, and fitness center, are perfect for unwinding after long days on the slopes. What truly sets this hotel apart is the people. Location is everything! The hotel is managed and maintained to a very high standard. We had a creek side view and our room was a nice size, very comfortable, and very clean!

The room was clean and our request for a crib was accommodated without problem. The beds were comfortable. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful.

It was an immaculate stay in November , ‘spring’ weather and no snow was compensated by warm hospitality!

The staff was so friendly and the entire property is so cute, it felt like we were in a German village.

Great boutique hotel which we always enjoy. Parking fees in Vail have become absurdly high. This is becoming difficult to justify. Vail has always been expensive, but this sudden increase in parking fees show contempt for its customers.

Cute hotel but warm in summer
First time staying at this hotel, and in Vail village. The hotel itself was really cute and the room was big. Loved the outside deck area which looked over the plaza and views of the mountain. Obviously the hotel is an older building but didn’t think about the lack of air conditioning in middle of summer heat, so made the mistake of requesting the top floor and thus did not sleep well (even with fans) due to the heat. The beds were very comfortable though. Michelle at front desk was very friendly and helpful. Getting to the hotel in a vehicle was a little tough, you drive down a pedestrian street, which is full of kids who don’t pay attention and run in front of your car, so wasn’t a fan of getting to and from hotel. Had to park off-premise because parking was full at hotel. But after checking-in/out, being able to walk everywhere and use public transportation was very easy and less stressful. Overall, it was a nice stay but it wasn’t the most easygoing experience. Really loved Vail though!
