“NO WORRIES” VACATION AT OUR BEAUTIFUL ISLAND HOME!
As one of our guests commented in a Sep 2023... review, our home is "the best value for the money at Kawama." Our condo is located in Kawama Tower, part of Kawama Yacht Club, a secure, gated community with 24-hour access. Kawama Yacht Club boasts a large saltwater lagoon, which is great for swimming, strolls, or snorkeling. We have access to two heated pools. Two elevators serve the Tower and the property also has tennis and pickle ball courts. Guests may be able to rent boat slips at the on-site marina, if available (contact Domenic at rsmgt@gmail.com or (786) 803-4423), but, regrettably, all of the boat trailer spaces on Kawama are full, so boats and trailers that are launched at the marina would have to be kept off-site. For those without a boat, fishing (with a FL license) is possible from the jetty-- and fun, especially for youngsters. A favorite pastime at Kawama is gathering at the jetty each evening with drinks and watching the sun go down—what better way is there to relax?
We are able to rent on a “vacation basis”, meaning that there is no chance that your reservation could be canceled at the last minute, in the event that the Monroe County Code Enforcement office discovers that the owner from whom you have rented your unit does not hold either a special vacation permit, or an exemption, to rent for less than 28 days. We also have a hurricane policy that gives you a full refund of days missed, in the event of an evacuation. So in other words, RELAX, you’re on vacation now! As a result of the Covid pandemic crisis, our unit receives additional cleaning, as specified by Monroe County, FL, the CDC, and the American Hotel Association.
Our condo has 2 bedrooms (one king, and one queen + sofa bed) and two 2 full bathrooms, one of which is handicapped accessible. We also have a new (2023) IKEA double sleeper sofa in the living room and new (2025) single one in the guest bedroom. We have a small private balcony that is great for reading or enjoying your morning coffee. Our kitchen is fully equipped with everything from blenders to popcorn makers, as well as a variety of spices that you are free to use during your stay. We also have a George Foreman electric grill for grilling your fresh-caught, or bought, fish. We have a washing machine and dryer as well as 2 flat screen TVs, cable, and wi-fi. There are plenty of towels and linens, as well as books, DVDs, and games for you to use during your stay. The decor reflects our own style of eclectic antiques, blended with Keys-themed original art.
One of the many reasons why we love Key Largo is that while it’s easy to spend the day lounging by the pool or lagoon, there are plenty of more adventurous options as well. There are several chartered fishing boat options available within walking distance of Kawama. Pennekamp Coral Reef Park is only a five-minute drive away, and we love to kayak through the mangrove trails or snorkel off the beach there. There are a number of tour boats and rental outlets operating near Kawama, including diving and snorkeling tours, as well as the famed ‘African Queen.’ In terms of wildlife adventures, we are within walking distance of Dolphins Plus, one of several nearby 'swim-with-the- dolphins' centers, only a ten-minute drive from the Florida Keys Wild Bird Center, a half-hour from "Theater of the Sea", and less than an hour's drive from both the Everglades and the Monkey Jungle. There are also museums and historic sites in the area.
We are also spoiled when it comes to places to eat and drink. Within walking distance are the Pilot House Restaurant and the Key Largo Fisheries, both of which serve good food and drink. The Fisheries also sells a variety of fresh seafood to cook at home. We also particularly enjoy Sharkey’s and Skippers' (three-minute drive), the Conch House, and the Fish House (both a five-minute drive). Mrs. Mac's is a must! For your everyday needs, Walgreens, CVS, and a Dollar Store are all within walking distance.

Our Unit is renovated and right outside Marina, Tower Pool, ocean side tikis and grills. Located at... the heart of Key Largo MM 100 in a gated community (Kawama Yacht Club) with 24 hr security.
Kawama is a 24-acre complex surrounded by John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park, known for some of the best Scuba diving and snorkeling in all the keys.
The property amenities include a saltwater lagoon with a small sandy beach, and two heated swimming pools as well as the private pool for the tower units.
The property has an onsite marina with a boat ramp that gives guests ocean access via a deep water channel to some of the area's best fishing, snorkeling, diving, and sandbars. Other amenities include boat trailer parking, playground, outdoor BBQ areas, and tennis courts.
Guest can fish, kayak, or snorkel the Ocean via our rock jetty.

2nd floor has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you would need, blenders, drip coffee maker, K-cup coffee maker, Instapot, microwave, plenty of dishes and utensils that will accommodate large families. There will be some coffee, teas and spices in the kitchen cabinet, please use what you like and replace or leave as you see fit for others to enjoy. A second large living room with a 55" Smart TV along with 2 balconies.
Walk out the second-floor balcony straight to the main pool or watch the children from the comfort of the screened in balcony. Playground is also a few steps to your left from the balcony.

Guests are able to go boating, fishing, snorkeling, diving, kayaking or relax by the ocean by several fire pits or BBQ by the ocean. Breathtaking sunset views from the 400' Jetty with seating to enjoy the views with your favorite glass of wine, cocktail. Great fishing can be done right off of the Jetty as well. Rodriguez Key and its famous sandbar can be visible from the Jetty and is a quick boat ride away. Unit is directly across from one of the 2 heated pools and steps away from the playground, large chickee hut/BBQ area and 2 tennis courts. Saltwater lagoon with 2 beach areas just a few short steps from the 2nd floor balcony. Kawama Yacht Club is a 30-acre tropical landscaped community with many outdoor sitting areas by the Atlantic Ocean with fire pits and BBQ areas.

Our townhome, renovated for the Key Largo vacationer, is very comfortable. Third floor with 2 bedrooms; extra deep queen mattresses, black-out curtains, and smart TVs, and private balconies. The third floor bathroom with large walk-in shower. The 2nd floor, main living room with open concept kitchen dining with full bathroom. Sonos music, smart TV, board games, books, magazines, local info to enjoy on front and back balconies. The chef prepared kitchen with stainless steel appliances; full utensils; All-clad & Cephalon cookware; Henkel knives; offers a high 4-top table. TV trays for balcony eating. Charcoal grills located between unit L1 and K4; and two charcoal grills located at beach. First floor with leather sofa bed, queen size. Linens stored in cedar trunk. Sofa bed has a 4 inch memory foam topper located in closet of 3rd fl bedroom. 100” deep seated couch can provide a twin size bed (next to sofa-bed), also located on first floor. Fold-out toddler bed located in closet of 3rd fl BR. Portable crib free upon management request , with linens. Licensed to provide 6 adults and 4 small children ample room to enjoy a safe environment.
Boat slips are available, but availability is limited; special arrangements must be made prior. Please ask prior to arrival with a boat. The marina rules are to be followed without exception. Liability insurance is required for all vessels at security gate entrance before full property and marina access.
Pets are allowed. This is a non-smoking property and strictly enforced. All laws, rules and regulations for Monroe County and the HOA must be followed. Any violations will result in immediate termination of tenant occupancy without a refund.

The unit is exterminated every month. We are surrounded by parks on 3 sides. Please keep all doors and windows closed. Do not leave open food out on counter or leave trash outside. All mattresses are covered & sealed to prevent bed bugs. This unit practices all CDC guidelines for cleaning.

Family and Friends vacation in mind - beautiful Key Largo townhouse with 2 separate living rooms... which that offers a unique opportunity for your family to spread out. It is our home away from home so we have added the features, decor, upgrades and amenities that make it inviting, comfortable, welcoming and mostly importantly homey. This 3bed,3 bath unit is located at Kawama Yacht Club in KEY LARGO. It is just minutes away from John Pennekamp State Park, known worldwide for its underwater scuba and snorkeling. Many great restaurants, supermarkets and shops, scuba diving, fishing and charter boats are only within a few minutes drive. The townhouse is centrally located a few steps from the main pool and tiki hut, bbq and the salt water lagoon. From both the balcony in the master bedroom on the third floor and the living room balcony on the second floor you have a view of the pool. The lagoon offers two entrances. One with a walk-in beach entrance (where the kids can play in the sand) and the other with a beautifully re-built dock with stairs. It has 3 floating platforms that the kids love. Adults can watch the kids swim or kayak in the lagoon or jump off the platforms while relaxing on the balcony or the living room. I never realized how much fun this was until we tried it so feel free to jump in. What a treat!!! Kawama offers a 400 ft jetty where you will take in the most spectacular sunsets and sunrise while the ocean wind drifts you away. KAWAMA community has 2 heated pools, a marina, free boat ramp(must let me know if bring boat and provide insurance), tennis courts, a ton of tiki huts, charcoal BBQ's, fire pits by the ocean, kids playground, walking trail. . This three story townhouse has TWO living rooms! The main one on the second floor has a large living area with large windows and sliding doors and balcony overlooking the pool and kids playground.The perfect spot for your morning coffee. The living room seating includes 2 large sofas,one which converts to a queen size pull out bed. This main floor also has a full bathroom and the kitchen and a another balcony. The new modern kitchen has seating for a family of six (plus 2 additional in storage if needed). The third floor has TWO bedrooms. The master bedroom has a king bed with a balcony overlooking the pool and large sliding glass doors. The second bedroom also has a queen bed with room for air mattress and a balcony. The third floor also has a full bathroom.The first floor is my favorite one. It features a private third guest room with a queen bed. It also houses the second living space (with a queen sofa bed), mini fridge, a full bathroom and washer and dryer. This living space is ideal for kids, with plenty of floor space or for those guests that have trouble climbing stairs. The second floor has a living room with a 50" Smart TV, a fully equipped all white kitchen with quartz countertops and an island with 6 counter stools, as well as a full bathroom and a balcony overlooking the lagoon with two rocking chairs. The third floor has two bedrooms, each with a King-sized bed and balconies, as well as a full bathroom. The townhouse overlooks a saltwater lagoon, which is visible from the 2nd floor balcony as well as the primary bedroom balcony. The lagoon has 3 floating platforms that kids just love jumping off and it has a sandy beach perfect for kiddos that like to play in the sand or adults that like to sunbathe on the chaise lounges. We provide a fully stocked kitchen with utensils, dishes, cups, wine glasses, coffee makers, toaster, blender, BBQ utensils, and some essential dry condiments. Linens, towels and beach towels are also provided, as well as some complimentary toiletries. A washer and dryer are also available for use. For kids, we offer a pack n play, DVD player with some movies, board games, sand toys, flotation devices and boogie board. We also provide tennis equipment and 3 bikes.
Kawama Yacht Club Amenities
The community amenities make this an amazing destination for vacations, because it alone offers so much, such as the oceanfront jetty with tiki huts and barbeques, water activities, 2 heated pools, a playground for kids, tennis courts, a marina, and firepits for evening gatherings. Access to the marina ramp is free; however, it is required for boats to have a $300k insurance policy for property damage and liability. If you would like to rent a boat slip, we can provide the contact information to the Kawama Marina management company.
