Blue Moon Guest House and Saloon in Lafayette

We booked a room here as we were scheduled to perform at the bar/stage in the back. Long story short - I found my forever hotel home in Lafayette. The contact less check-in was easy, and the overall experience was everything you could possibly need in a stay. Clean rooms and bathrooms, awesome sitting rooms and decor, and just an awesome vibe. We will most definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Blue Moon Saloon & Guest House. Our room was very clean and we had all that we needed. We enjoyed our stay in The Balcony suite with morning coffee on the balcony. The neighborhood was eclectic and fun to explore. Be sure to stop at Borden's Ice Cream Shoppe across the street for a real homemade shake or sundae and other nostalgic goodies. Also, the Acadian Superette is close and the food very good. The live music at the Blue Moon Saloon was varied and a lot of fun. Good music and good people. All in all a very enjoyable stay.

We stayed here in the balcony room in 2023 and had such a fun experience then we came back recently in 2026 celebrating both spring break and my 60th birthday. This being a roadtrip this time around I took advantage of the full kitchen versus using my camp stove. With both fructose and lactose malabsorption it’s very comforting to cook for myself. And having access to a full kitchen allowed me to make a rice and steak dinner and then in the morning make a cup of rice for the road, plus hard boil chicken and duck eggs I gathered the day prior. The duck eggs were fantastic! Just like in 2023, the Cajun jam night on Wednesday didn’t disappoint. Such great music and wonderfully friendly people. One experience I was hoping to relive from 2023 was the ghost encounter in the balcony room; ghost sat on my feet! Unfortunately this go around in 2026, no ghost experience so just be aware there is a spirit, albeit a friendly spirit, inhabiting the Blue Moon. This isn’t just a place to stay but a place to experience. We look forward to coming back.

Superb guest house with a music bar downstairs. Excellent location, one of a kind experience.

Everything was perfect, we loved our stay at the blue moon and felt like home. Very near the center and the live music nights are fantastic.

This is one of the best places to stay in the Southern US. Just an open plan welcoming space, excellent amenities, and some of the best live music around, in the cutest saloon you'll ever see. Clean, nice rooms, comfortable, just feels like you're staying at someone's house.

spent i night at Moon Glow Guest House in Glencairn. Comfortable room, decent breakfast, Wonderful Hostess but wow what a view. One would have to go a long way to beat it. By the way found a gem of a beach nearby-Fishermans Cove. I reccomend that tourists who want to spend a few days touring Kalk Bay, Cape Point etc. could not find more beautiful accomodation.

Very enjoyable experience. The staff were friendly and helpful.. Easy check in. Great bar and ambiance. Great music and drinks. It was nice to be able to sleep close by. The house and room was comfy and well maintained. I would highly recommend the experience.
