Motel 6 Lafayette, La in Lafayette

This hotel is complete trash. Stay far away. Roaches everywhere. They check in, and don't check out. The room was disgusting and filthy. I had to argue to get refunded. The front counter guy was illiterate and the owner on the phone was not from this country. A towel head.

Not cleaned well at all. I could barely keep my husband there let alone get comfortable.
When we called them while shopping for a hotel they told us they did in fact have an indoor pool open year round. We chose that location because of it's close proximity to family and the indoor pool. My husband was going to surprise my daughter who loves swimming.
Upon arrival the pool was not only closed but It was filthy and had been maintained in some time. The lady at the front desk had to have known that when she falsely advertised having a year round pool just that morning, the condition that pool was in theses no way she couldn't have.
The ONLY positive take away from that visit was that the ro was affordable. I'd say you get what you pay for but it WASNT the cheapest availability in that area, yet the rooms were absolutely disgusting. It appeared as if housekeeping simply walked in, " tidied up" around the bed and couch, repositioned the sheets and blankets and left( it wouldn't shock me to find out they hadn't changed the bed linens) They had trash in the waist basket, used soap and empty shampoo bottles in the bathroom, leftovers in the mini fridge, the carpet was so disgusting I had to sweep it off before bringing my bags in, we had to go get towels from the desk clerk ( they DID restock there toiletries tho) , I spotted multiple roaches in the bathroom and the coffee machine looked like it hadn't been wiped down in months.
We stay at Quality inn and suites daily frequently and have NEVER had these kinds of problems at any of there locations. I don't want this review to be held over the entire chain , it's only this 1 location, and who knows maybe they were just short handed ( corona and all)or maybe having a bad week and our experience was completely isolated. Who knows...I do know I , personally, won't be returning to that location though that's for sure.

Rooms are terrible, Dirty and nasty. Girst off room door didn't open, front desk had to show me the trick to open it. Then it didn't lock back. So not a secure place. The room was never cleaned although it was rent ready in there eyes. Hand prints on the mirrors. Carpet was not vacuumed at all. They had toys and candy by the hot tub which didn't work ( main reason for picking the room). Bathroom sink had hair in it, the toilet was dirty, with tissue paper on the floor not even on the roll. Refrigerator in the room was dirty and when I closed the door roaches started running everywhere . No pillows on the bed and when the cover was pulled back stains on the sheets. Needless to say I got put of there real quick. Would not recommended to anyone unless you just don't care.

December 16 was the worst night I have spent at any hotel! I literally wanted to go sleep in my car! I had
a 3 night stay and could not stay one night. The desk clerk was very very nice and kindly gave us our money back. Literally a roach hotel 😩
