Ocean Club Hotel, Cape May1 / 17
8.4
New Jersey, Cape May, 1035 Beach Ave 🧭 Map
The view from our 4th floor balcony was incredible. Welcoming sunrise's over the ocean and gorgeous sunsets to end the day. Location, location, location. The staff were friendly and helpful. Andy overnight especially! He helped guide us into the parking after a 15hr drive and made check in smooth and quick.
Location is the big selling point on this. We had a King suite with an ocean view. The balcony is small but adequate and the view was amazing. We were on the fourth floor and I recommend at least this high for visibility. Staff was friendly and helpful especially the overnight guy...sorry don't remember his name. Down side is the room itself was eh. No microwave in a suite...bit of a letdown.
Ocean club is centrally located in Cape May. The pool area is beautiful and resort like. They have a full service tiki bar and live entertainment during the day. The pool is clean and the chairs are extremely comfortable. Sammy does an excellent job keeping the pool area in tip top shape and his customer service skills are impeccable. We reserved two connecting rooms, one with two doubles and the other...
Amazing comfort, service, food, views, … it’s resort stay in the middle of American History. You get the best of both world! Wake up in the morning, right out of bed, open your big sliding door and right away the ocean is so close you hear the waves and see the ocean directly in front of you. Have your gourmet breakfast seaside. Get your complimentary towel and sit by the pool, order a drink in the...
Exceeded expectations. Incredible staff works diligently to cater to your family. Exceptionally clean and updated. Private beach with chair/towel service. Honestly, simply perfect. Pool feels like you’re at a Caribbean resort. Private ample parking. Pillows could be better but that’s if I’m searching for a complaint. Will definitely be back again and again. Highly recommend!!!
Awesome place. Super clean and lots of places to walk to.

Bang for the buck is definitely there. Location is great, rooms are spacious and property is clean.
Rooms spotless, clean and fresh. Service is great. Check in was a breeze. The beach and promenade are right across the street. Restaurants, Ice cream shops, and a kids arcade are all right there,so it's great if you have kids or grand kids in tow! Definitely going to return!
Room was adequate in size but the walls are paper thin. Bed was not that comfortable and the condensation from the AC unit dripped onto the middle of the bathroom floor making it slippery. The shower tub did not drain well and the tub filled up quite fast as you shower. We notified the front desk but nothing was done. We brought it up again when we checked out and they said they would bring a snake...
Rooms are a bit tired to be honest but served their purpose as somewhere to sleep - all a bit dark. The front desk were great but the verbal mouthful we got from our cleaner for leaving slightly late on our last day of 4 over shadowed this. Location is great right across from beach entrance. Rooftop has a great view but cushions for the seats/sun beds would have helped enormously!
Great location accomadating and informative staff. They were able to offer a first floor room on a short notice. Close to the beach and local activities.
There are no words to explain how wonderful The Heritage Inn is. We first met Gwen in 2017 when we arrived on a rushed trip when my husband was told to do whatever he could in his short time left. Everyone was booked when we arrived in Cape May. We were sent to The Heritage Inn as a last chance. When we arrived, Gwen greeted us with compassion and miraculously made a room available and got us access...

The straff was really friendly and helpful, we felt very welcome! Nice pool and nice rooms for a family.
This was my first time here and it’s my new go to place! One of the cleanest places in Cape May! Everything was new and modern. Nothing was worn or beat up despite being near the end of season. Jamie couldn’t have been nicer! What a wonderful woman! Pleasant and helpful. Wonderful people working there. Thank you, Jamie!! I hope to see you soon again!
What a hidden gem! Service was fantastic and the place is very well maintained. It's not new or particularly quaint (in the Cape May manner) but rooms as spacious and comfortable. You feel very welcome here and the other guests have been very friendly. Definitely will stay here again.
Wonderful place to stay for a weekend in Cape May! The Inn was very helpful and accommodating to our early check in, and the room was clean and simple. A little far from the boardwalk and mall, about a mile and a half walk. Still, for the price and the quality of the room, I highly recommend! The shower pressure was excellent, and there were more than enough towels. The fridge in the room was clean...
Staff is very friendly. Our room was perfect. Jamie checked us in, she was great! Thank you Jamie for all the info about the events in Cape May.
Just stayed here for the long weekend with my wife and 2 college age sons. We have been coming to Cape May for years but it was out first time here but we will be back. This is by far the most affordable place I saw in Cape May. The pool is great and they are casual about people around the pool. What I mean is that me and my family sat out and played cards one night at a table next to rhe pool and...

Hotel Alcott, Cape May1 / 19Good price

New Jersey, Cape May, 107 Grant Street 🧭 Map
We stayed one night at Hotel Alcott after Tropical Storm Isasias knocked out power at our other hotel. They were extremely welcoming of us and we so appreciated it. Very clean rooms (on the small side for a basic queen room) but a nice comfortable place. The location is good and it’s about a 15 minute walk from anywhere in town. It is one block from the beach. Would definitely recommend staying here
Very clean, with a quiet elegance. Just a few blocks from the center of town. Our room was small but clean and elegant in every sense. The sink was a beautiful porcelain period piece, and the shower was modern with a glass divider. There is a basic breakfast every morning. There is no parking but they do offer a pass to a local public lot. We didn't find that to be a problem in the off-season...
Me and my boyfriend stayed here while on a 5 day vacation. We weren't at the hotel much except to sleep and maybe stop in for a nap, but it when we were there it was lovely. The bed was AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE!! Lots of people complain about the room size, but it didn't bother us. The a/c in the room was nice considering it was a very hot week. The whole parking situation was a little confusing at first...
Loved the setting and rooms. Parking good too. Close to the beach.
A classic Cape May Hotel, with decent service and amenities. They could certainly use some updates of infrastructure, the heat in our room was spotty, but overall a good experience.
The hotel Alcott is a beautiful hotel, we stayed over night after a wedding was hosted there. The rooms were very clean and nice. With our room we were able to step out onto the deck which was very nice. The only downside to the room was it seemed it never cooled down. Always hovered around 73 degrees I would definitely stay there again.

The Beach Club on Madison Avenue, Cape May1 / 17

New Jersey, Cape May, 605 Madison Ave 🧭 Map
Great as always. Beautiful hotel, great outdoor spaces, excellent restaurants and bars. Elevator has been slightly malfunctioning since the last time we were here, about 6 months ago. Up button doesn’t work which confused the elevator when you press an upper floor. Door would close and then reopen before finally closing again and taking you up. Surprised it hadn’t been fixed yet.
The view was stunning. Property beautiful. Hotel very busy. 4 weddings during our stay! My room was very small, my friends had beautiful rooms. Also I was on second floor above the lobby. Although convenient very noisy at night as people were in the lobby when no room in bar. The surrounding area was great. Close to Mall outside shopping and we walked everywhere. Nice pool as well. Had rocking chairs...
The room was great and the staff excellent Only problem was that the A/C in the room was so loud that we did not get any sleep...
Our entire experience was excellent. The property is very nice, and the entire staff was helpful and friendly. We particularly enjoyed the Brown Room for an after dinner drink and live entertainment.
Great hotel Iconic hotel right in center of Cape May. Very comfortable rooms and great service. Definitely be back.
Very nice staff and employees. Service was good, just not exceptional. The facility was old, but that was to be expected. Bathrooms could use a bit more space for toiletries and hair supplies. The bathroom was not accommodating for two individuals to ready themselves at the same time. We didn’t eat there much, however what we did have was very good.

pool still open 2nd week of october and it is nice, excellent location, restaurants close by beach right across street, hotel is well groomed on outside.inside they tried. A for effort, but......
This was our third stay at the Periwinkle and once again it did not disappoint. The property is immaculately maintained and our room was clean and spacious. It had a little balcony with a direct view of the ocean. The pool is on the small size but very clean and perfect for the property. During our stay we enjoyed hearing Kellie Glover, a talented singer from American Idol. It was a nice unexpected...
My son and I did a quick mommy and me getaway and stayed at the Periwinkle- it was lovely! The woman who greeted us at the front desk was so sweet and accommodating. We were able to park at the hotel before check -in, change in the lobby bathroom and walked across the street to the beach. The pool and courtyard were perfect after a day at the beach. Our room was clean and cool! We will definitely...
I am a budget traveler and I'm always trying to find the best price mixed with the best rated hotel for any trip we take. I go back and forth and back and forth between multiple hotels whenever my family is booking a trip and it takes me forever to finally decide. I am so glad I decided to book at the Periwinkle Inn. My husband and I had a fantastic stay! As far as Cape May goes it is a very pricey...
I stayed at the Periwinkle this past weekend and it was a great experience, rooms are nice and clean and the location is about a 20 minute walk for Washington square which was perfect and across the street from a beach entrance. When we arrived we noticed our door wasn’t locking properly but once we mentioned it to the staff they came right away and fixed it. I have stayed at other locations in Cape...
Loved the location, pools and play area for the kids!

Avondale by the Sea Motel, Cape May1 / 21

New Jersey, Cape May, 609 Beach Avenue 🧭 Map
The location was perfect for what we set out to do. It was close to many restaurants, shopping, and the beach (added bonus - we were on the third floor so we had a great view of the beach - even saw tow dolphins swimming the first day we were there).
Avalon by the Sea is a terrific space to stay in Cape May. Right on Beach Ave in the middle of everything. Across the street is the beach, a short walk away is everything else you could possibly need. The rooms are super clean. The host and staff are super friendly. Be sure to stop in the office for breakfast from 8-10 and have a donut, bagel, some cereal or fruit. While there for breakfast the Owner...
Clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff.....have been visiting several times a years for about 10 years....
Always enjoy staying here when we visit Cape May. Clean rooms , friendly staff, complimentary breakfast. Excellent location, walk across the street and your on the beach. Quick walk to everything … leave the car ,on site parking…
Avondale’s location in Cape May is perfect for both first time visitors and regulars. There are plenty of shops and eateries on the same street, about a block or two away, and it’s only a few minutes walk from the town center where the rest of the shops and restaurants are.
Great location and rooms were very nice. Issue is that "private" balcony is not even close to being private and ice machine wasn't working. Would definitely try again but now know what to compare.
