Quality Inn in Ruidoso

I give no stars! Our experience here was the worst. First I didn't feel safe to leave my things in room. Thought it was very unprofessional that the employees and their family's live there. Shower curtain stunk and looked like it hadn't been washed EVER! Bed was supposedly a queen but I'm sure it was a full. Rooms are so small. Bathroom sink was clogged. Covers smelled gross. A/C shot out a lot of dust. Fridge made the most annoying noise all night. Stayed over night because i had no choice. Checked out first thing in morning. When though i was booked for two nights. When i went to check out I couldn't even get a full refund for the night we didnt stay. I think we should've gotten a full refund for the night we didn't stay. We were out by check out time. Worse experience! Would never ever recommend anyone! Every unsanitary and unprofessional!

Our check in was 3pm. Rooms were not ready and was told they would not be ready until 4pm... One was ready at 4. We had to wait for the second one an additional 45 minutes. Ok. Got rooms and they were disgusting. I'm talking stains on walls everywhere. Comforters had holes and stains. Not a single trash can anywhere in the room. No ice bucket. Rooms are so outdated. Missing tons of stuff. Even the fire alarm was popped out of the wall just hanging there. The "community" microwave is filthy conveniently located next to a stained up trashcan. Elevator is missing buttons. Pool was not working. If I could have gotten a room elsewhere I would have. Worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Staff was nice at least. Stay away. This hotel should be shut down

Absolutely disgusting needle in room people on drugs nodded out in the parking lot for hours. This is the most disgusting motel we have ever stayed in. Had a child who could have got a hold of the needle that was in the room thank God we seen it first. They offer a 10 percent discount! Are you kidding me a child's life was at risk here. This place needs to be shut down. Lady at the front desk was pleasant and tried to help.

This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed. As soon as we pulled up outside and saw how unkept everything was, weeds and trash everywhere, I knew there was cause for concern on how the rooms would be. If it hadn’t been Labor Day weekend and I knew we could have found another place, I would have immediately! There was a stench as soon as we walked in and oh my, the room was even worse. I felt like that was what I was going to smell like every time I left the room. On our first adventure out to enjoy our weekend, we started to leave and had to drive around the the back of the building, and while I should not have been surprised, I was. There were several homeless people living in their vehicles. One that was looking for cigarette butts by the back door and another, presumably drunk and still drinking on a stump. And this is just the beginning. Upon our return, there were signs up that said there was no hot water and there was water leaking profusely from the ceiling in the hall. I understand things happen, but after 24 hours and the 3rd time being told it was being worked on, no sign of anyone doing so, and then being told the owner would not answer his phone, I had enough. We stayed our last night and yet again disappointed. Trying to wind down and having some extra time, our daughter wanted to go swimming and we were told the pool was closed but no one knew why….and still no word on getting hot water. FYI, the housekeeper that told us the owner wouldn’t answer his phone, also said he owns the Days Inn down the road. I don’t leave reviews, but felt this one was needed.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, false advertisement about being clean, having microwave and refrigerator in the rooms. There was a community microwave by soda machines. Hotel has many safety hazards, one of the beds frames had an iron stick coming out, we had to wrap a towel around it to prevent from getting hurt. Non smoking room it reak of cigarettes. Place not safe different entrances didn’t lock, there is a lot of sketchy people around. Then to get your deposit back the person in the front desk had to check your room. The pool was not open. Hotel from hell.

I was very disappointed in my stay. I don't expect much from a Motel 6. I realize I am only spending about $50 for a night. But I do expect the rooms and the building to be relatively clean. When I checked in, my room was not clean. It looked like someone had been living there. There were push pins all over in the walls, the TV didn't work, the wireless password didn't work. There was only one towel, washcloth, and hand towel. Things were broken. It was just very disappointing. The folks at the desk did fix the TV and wireless for me but they were non to happy to have to help me out. When I turned the bedding down on the bed the sheets actually looked like they had been slept in. But when I sat down I was disgusted to find hair...lots of hair...all over the sheets. By this time I was very upset. I went to the front desk and asked for a different room. The clerk was very rude and acted like he was doing me a big favor to accommodate me. The second room was a little better but not much. At least the sheets looked clean. The lights were broken, the curtain was hanging off the rod (I fixed this myself) the night stand was about to fall off the wall. The shower dripped all night long but thankfully the air conditioner was so loud I could only hear the dripping when it wasn't running. And worst of all, cigarette smoke seeped into the room the whole time I was there. Especially in the bathroom. I have had bad experiences with Motel 6 before, (though it used to be my go to motel when I was traveling by myself and just needed a bed and a shower) but I decided to give it one more chance since the pictures on the internet looked like the motel had been remodeled recently. I was wrong. I will never risk a night in a Motel 6 again.
