Staybridge Suites ALBANY WOLF RD-COLONIE CENTER by IHG in Albany

We had a very pleasant stay at Staybridge Suites. The staff were warm, respectful, and welcoming from check-in to check-out, which truly made our visit feel comfortable.
One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is how well-equipped the suites are — having a kitchenette in the room is a great perk that sets it apart from many other hotels in the area and makes dining in much easier when you want a simple meal on your own schedule. The property also includes terrific amenities like an indoor heated pool, hot tub, and a well-maintained gym, all of which were clean and in great condition during our stay.
We also appreciated the free guest laundry facilities, which are great for longer stays or families on the road.
For accessibility, the hotel is generally easy to navigate with multiple elevators, well-placed handicap door buttons, and wide enough doorways for mobility devices. The brand even lists ADA-compliant accessible rooms and roll-in showers as available options — though we did have an issue where our request for a roll-in shower wasn’t honored, and we received a tub room instead. It’s worth double-checking your room preferences with staff when booking to make sure your accessibility needs are met. The significant downside for us was housekeeping service on weekends — apparently rooms aren’t serviced over the weekend unless specifically requested, which was a major inconvenience during a busy stay. Another thats worth noting if your being a pet or service animal in the winter the area outside to bring your dogs out to the bathroom wasn’t shovel at all which made it quite hard at times especially when theres a lot of snow on the ground. Because of this, our rating is two stars lower than it might otherwise be.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay — excellent staff, strong amenities, and good accessibility — just make sure to confirm any special room needs and housekeeping expectations ahead of time!

I am writing this review to provide feedback on my recent stay at your establishment, which spanned from my arrival on Friday, December 5th, until my departure on December 7th. Overall, I rate my experience at 3 out of 5 stars.

The customer service provided by Ms. Latay-Sha Moore was outstanding in every way. She consistently had the answer to any question or concern I had throughout my stay, and she deserves commendation for her excellent work. BTW, awesome job on getting me set up on WIFI!

The reason for my rating is based solely on the complimentary amenities, which I believe need refinement. During the complimentary breakfast, my friends and I noted a few key areas for improvement. First, I was disappointed to find no whole milk available, which is a staple for whole milk drinkers like myself. When I inquired with the staff, no adequate answer was provided.

Second, while the Waffle Station is a welcome feature, the small butter packets provided were practically frozen and extremely difficult to spread on a fresh waffle. I appreciate that one staff member was kind enough to microwave my waffle with the butter on top to melt it.

Finally, I also noticed that only sausage was provided for breakfast, and not bacon. I feel it is not ideal to exclude bacon, as it does not accommodate guests who may not like sausage.

While the rooms felt a bit cramped, I did appreciate having a refrigerator in the room. Parking was excellent.
