Valet took a lot of time, very rude. Check in and out was easy. Room was nice but pull out sofa had lots of stains and was wet. Had to request new mattress. Overall the hotel needs a little updating.

Wonderful from start to finish.

Shower water was not hot enough. Bed was ok but pillows too hard and full and hurt my neck. I don’t remember that being the case the last time I stayed here.

Convience of all of the activities. Parked, and didn’t have to leave the hotel until time to check out! Kids had a great time and I did not hear “ I am bored” once.

Room was good. The staff was great! I was very frustrated that at no time when reserving this hotel that i would be required to attend a 90 minute (actually took 2+ hours) presentation on purchasing a timeshare with Holiday Inn.

The housekeeping manager was so friendly and helpful. I’ve stayed in four different rooms with different floor plans and this was the tiniest room. We were on the fifth floor next to the elevator that was broken. But loved the heated pool and hot tub. Location is convenient being right on the beach. very nice resort in Galveston right on the beach. The rooms are big and quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location is convenient. There was a problem with the water pipes but they took care of it quickly and kept all the guests informed with progress. There is a grocery store about 10 minutes away and other services there too.

I reserved an accessible room. When I got to my room it was not. I called the front desk and was told that my room was being worked on. No problem. But would have been nice if they told me upfront and apologized instead of silence and a surprise. Room was clean and acceptable though.

Room was spacious and has a microwave and fridge. Bed and pillows were just ok. I would not be able to sleep on it more than a night or two. Good location. restaurants and beach in walking distance.

I have stayed at this place a few times and it’s always clean and the staff has alway been great and pleasant.

Bedding appears old. Wasn’t warm. Towels could be upgraded; they were rough and small.

The sheets on my bed was dirty. They have blessed things on them. That means the bed was not changed. I reported it to the front desk and they only gave me a $30 refund. Yes, did not receive where I stay at this property again maybe not.

The location is excellent, the room was fine. Expect large fans when you step in the building and to pay for parking. Nice outdoor pool area with plenty of seating and a shower out front of the hotel to rinse after spending the day at the beach.

I called months prior to our stay to ensure the Clarion provided parking for our 7-day cruise. They assured me this was correct, and they charged 10 a person for transportation to the port. The location is good, that's the only positive thing. The room was musty, the air conditioning was leaking and the carpet in front of it was wet. The bathroom was extremely slippery due to the humidity. The highlight was that it started dripping from the ceiling at night. I've never had such a bad room. After reading some negative reviews I decided to take a chance and hope for the best, as my 1-night stay was impromptu. Am I glad I did! Lovely clean room with 2 queen beds. The surfaces of counters, dresser, chair nightstand, etc looked clean. The white bedding was welcoming and the beds were so comfortable. AC worked without complaint. Bathroom had linens for the 2 of us along with toiletry items...

Room had a killer View. Unfortunately the AC room sort of works not very well. The AC did not cool the restroom and there is no vent in the bathroom. I have just had much better experiences at hotels than I did at this location we won't be returning.

Loved the hotel location and the fact that it has a restaurant/bar inside but... the ac isnt working in the halls and elevators which made it kind of uncomfortable when already hot and sticky. Wish they served a free breakfast as well.

Only got 2 towels. No wash cloths and only one ice machine working.

The shuttle that we paid extra for was extremely slow and not reliable. We end up getting a uber and it literally took her 6 minutes from hotel to port drop off. The providers shuttle was taking over a hour or more. Ridiculous. Hotel room did have a good few of the ocean from the balcony

Nanak (aka Nick - the shuttle driver) was great! Staff was super nice. Lobby was very nice. Location to the Pleasure Pier and Seawall Blvd, as well as offering airport shuttle, was why we booked. Room could have been cleaner (and needs some repairs (balcony door framing and ability to lock it, wall ledge above a/c, bathroom ceiling/wall patch repairs) but didnt bother complaining/asking for a change...

The bedding and towels had stains. The shower wasn’t as clean as it could have been. The entire hotel had a moldy smell. However- the staff was incredibly nice.

The hotel needs some tender loving care. We stayed two nights while waiting to take our cruise on the Carnival Jubilee. I would not choose to stay here again.
