Clarion Pointe Galveston Seawall in Galveston

The best part of this hotel is the location. It’s under new management and it shows. We’ve stayed here before and it was great. My sheet kept coming off, the blanket and many towels were stained with what looks like self tanner. There is absolutely no water pressure and takes a good five minutes to get warm water. Someone in our party told the front desk that their toilet did not flush and they had him go in and told him how to fix it himself. There is no more bar, which is why why chose this place again, they have no liquor license. Housekeeping staff is rude. Won’t be staying here on our next trip to Galveston again.

I can’t recommend this hotel. We stayed on a weekend on September, I choose it because its proximity to the pier, a couple of minutes walking. But that is all I liked about this hotel.....

I reserved a partial ocean view room, well, that didn’t happen, I got a room with an inside view to the tools and AC unit area (see my photos). I was honestly worried for workers around the area, hanging right outside my window, and I was traveling with little girls. I asked the receptionist at check it if I could switch rooms to another room I saw available on their website, cheaper than mine! and the receptionist look me up and down and said no. No explanation. Horrible attitude, and it wasn’t just with me, you could tell she is mad at her life and doesn’t like her job, she had the same “don’t bother me with your problems” attitude with all the guest before me.......

Inside the room, there were a couple of wholes in the wall, nails around and yellow stains on the mattress ( a lot). ....

Breakfast experience was bad as well. Breakfast food was good (if you were lucky to get some), dozens of guests trying to have breakfast, and the hotel only has has 1 proper table to sit at, Otherwise you are just walking around or standing at a high counter or in a seating in a corner on a solo chair. We went on the middle of breakfast time, and they had run out of eggs, coffee, patties, milk, and of course no place to seat. There was a line for everything, the bread, the waffles, the drinks. The hotel had 1 worker trying to replenish everything, it was chaos, The breakfast lady was super nice, was doing her best, but 1 worker was just not enough to properly serve the breakfast area and all the people waiting. ....

Meanwhile we all could see the reception area with 3 workers doing nothing but chatting with other, not even trying to help.

Bad experience, we won’t come back.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location.
The rooms are muggy, there was MOLD all over the shower, and floors, the vents seemed as if they’d never once been cleaned and we found ROACHES. The front desk staff acted as if it was an inconvenience for them to do their jobs. Breakfast was almost non existent, we’d have been better off eating somewhere else.
In addition to the muggy rooms our air conditioner soaked the floor which in turn caused our suitcase to be wet.
In my honest opinion there is no reason for the staff to be so inattentive.
I would strongly recommend against spending your money here.

I Want to give it zero stars.
The rooms are disgusting, we walked into unclean room. The person hair who was previously in the room was all over the bathroom floor.
They do not change the bedding in the room, I have a service dog who sleeps in bed with me I came back to the room after it had been clean and the dog hair was all over the bedding.
The lay out of the rooms are unfuctional . You can’t have the bathroom door open and the clothed door open at the same time.
The night staff is beyond rude, we got locked out of our room, and because the resveration wasn’t under my name I couldn’t get a key. We tried to get the person who’s name it was under to call and ask them to leave a key. The staff refused to do so. Then got upset when we sat in the lobby waiting to the person who had reservation to return to the hotel.
Overall my stay was very dissatisfying.
