Reviews
1. The lack of bedding to be had on the sofa bed. No linens were to be found anywhere for it so I had to take from my parents' room as well as my sister and her fiancé's room just to have coverage.
2. Light outside on the balcony did not work. Would like some functioning lights outside on the balcony that way I did not have to strain my eyes at night.
3. Many hotels provide two to three pool hours for their adult guests before closing, so it would be nice if this resort would extend pool hours and/or allow the last two to three hours to be an Adult Swim period.
The aforementioned three points are just minor grievances, though. First two I am willing to overlook and give the benefit of the doubt since the building I was in is apparently new and just recently started in the past year. Third one is just a suggestion that I think Holiday Inn should take into consideration. My upcoming fourth reason however is a major concern and the reason for me giving a four star rating as opposed to a five star rating:
4. The poor security with the pool area. People who were rooming in the resort were leaving the gates open for friends and family not rooming in the resort, which to my understanding, people not on the bill for the resort were not allowed access to the resort pool. It would be nice if the resort could provide pass cards separate from the room keys to every person per room as well as a separate lock on the pool gate that reads only those pool pass cards as opposed to the room cards. A gate clerk/guard would also be nice to ensure that they know who is going in and out as well as monitoring the gate to make sure that it is closed. Also there are some people who would hide out in the pool area when closing hours come so a more thorough check of the pool area would be nice.
That is the only problem I had with my experience but I hope Holiday Inn will take into consideration the suggestion I made so that resort patrons would have a much nicer experience. Other than that, this was an amazing place and so long as the service is as good or even better and so long as they do not become a time share scam, I highly recommend this resort and do intend to save up for a future stays in the years to come.
• One of the 2 elevators was broken. We had to take our handicapped Granddaughter up one elevator, through a swing door, go across an outside balcony walkway, and through another swing door to get to our room.
• The pull out sofa bed had a heavily stained/soiled mattress. The mattress was also very uneven and hammered out. Part of this was a badly bent frame. Contacting the front desk, maintenance, housekeeping, and management was no help at all. Would not/could not put a clean mattress in place.
• No housekeeping provided.
• Only 4 handicapped parking spots for the entire hotel?
Very poor management. This was a very bad first impression of the Holiday Inn chain. We do not plan on staying at any Holiday Inn again.
Contacting customer relations did not provide answers or a partial refund.
(This review window would not upload pictures of the horrid bed.)
