This was our second stay at the Sonesta in Burlington, however this time was not nearly the same positive experience. The room was dirty upon arrival and as we arrived very late, there was nothing they could do. The couch was filthy and there was food and dirt in the cushions. There was food left in the cabinets, the dishwasher was full of dirty dishes, and even a dirty pan left inside the oven. The shower was filthy and the water wouldn't drain, and there were no extra linens for the pull out couch. Finally, the pool was out of order.

Upon arrival we noticed that room was not clean. There was hair in both bathrooms and around the sinks. The upstairs bed was missing sheets and all the tv’s were missing the remotes.

We called the front desk and they brought us sheets and had to call again for remotes. We ended up cleaning and disinfecting both bathrooms and kitchen so we didn’t have to call for the third time.

The ceiling fan in the living did not work and the light flickered and buzzed when you turned it on. We found old socks in the upstairs and other items from the last guest that were not picked up.

The room was ok , but not as clean as it could have been , there were some stains on the carpet and a lot of dust on the top of our headboard , etc . The pool didn’t work which is one of the reasons we chose the hotel . The person that I spoke to the day before we checked in and said that it was being worked on, and it might be fixed the next day but he couldn’t promise .
Upon check in the very very sweet girl that worked at the front desk said no, it’s not expected to be ready for a couple weeks.
It has been very icy in Vermont , walking to the room from our car was very slick , and some of the landings outside were glare ice . The girl at the front desk offered to give us some rock salt to take with us and then discovered she didn’t have any . I suggest contracting someone to sand the lots and walkways before someone gets hurt .
Tv was messed up, channels scrambled and not coming in. Girl at desk said they had recently switched her providers and there were issues .
Overall the bed was comfy and our stay wasn’t bad , but there are definite needs for better housekeeping and maintenance .

Room had great amenities, especially at the price - its great to have a kitchen and couch. Staff was very helpful, maintenance quicjly fixed a sink/tub that didn't drain.

At check in was told there was a $250.00 deposit for the room on top of the $160.00 room charge. On arrival to the room the door was left open. The toilet tank lid was off and the utility room door was left open.

Very good breakfast, nice stuff, fireplace in the room, kitchenette. Only swimming pool and jacuzzi was temporarily unavailable, but they are working on it

The room was dirty, the kitchen drawers were broken, and the power outlets were broken, which was a safety hazard. The carpet was torn. I stayed for five days, and housekeeping never cleaned the room, and the trash was overflowing. When it snowed, no one from the hotel cleared the sidewalks, which created a slip and fall hazard when going to breakfast. The laundry area was filthy and awful.

Friendly staff and clean warm rooms. We wish the pool had been open! They have a nice pool which is why we picked this place

Room was nice. Kitchen needed updating, but was adequate. Was perfect for what we needed. Staff was very pleasant.

The receptionist was very attentive to our accommodation, but the rooms were dirty, the chairs were old and filthy, the table was wobbly, and the refrigerator shelf falls down when you open it. The pool is okay, but the hot tub has cold water instead of hot. Poor management; practically everything is falling apart. I need everything replaced. That's why I gave it this rating. I don't recommend staying there.
