Gold Palace Hotel in Termez

If you book a double and you have only one towel, you are disappointed . If the soap is missing and you ask by 9pm for soap and you are told that it is not available till the next morning since house keeping has left, you know what to expect. When you try the mattress and it is so hard that you take prophylactically a pain medication before sleeping - you know you never want to visit again.

Poor value for money - uncaring, mocking reception staff. No internet access at all after being changed rooms several times - questionable cleanliness, stained carpets. And no internet service after several hours of broken promises.

Don't know where to start. We walked in the door and said we had six rooms booked. The guy behind reception said "No five". I got my key and went to my room and found the toilet didn't flush and the bathroom smelled. I went back down to reception and asked for the room to be changed. The same guy behind said that it was not possible as there were no more single rooms and that I would have to wait for it to be cleaned again. I asked if he could put me in a double and he said no, that I would have pay more. I said that if that was the case I would find another hotel and he said "fine ok". While I was searching for another hotel he disappeared then came back and said, "yes the toilet is broken, our bad" we will put you in another room. Then said abruptly "come get your key". When I got to the new room I found the electric socket hanging off the wall (see photo). Also, the shower curtain was grubby and dirty around the bottom of the curtain. On checkout the guys at the reception were watching Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines video on a phone. No greeting or asking how my stay was, just said "who is paying"! Shame, because this hotel could be great! Just needs the right staff with the right professional work ethic. I hope the owner fires the guys on reception and get someone in who cares about customer service. This is the longest review I have written and I have stayed at a lot of hotels.

I never meet such unfriendly receptionists (all males). VIP Rooms are huge but dirty (very dirty, shame you) minibar is empty. Hotel ordinarg items were taken in a black plastic bag, No WC paper available till next morning. I had to pay extra for a cappuccino during the morning breakfast. Near the “bar” A/C engine continuosly drops water on the floor, who cares ? I wish you to shut down this disgusting exemple of unprofessionality.
