Room was large and had the basics. Slightly dirty but for short stays it would be fine. Proximity to the Center of town and great price is what you should focus on here when deciding if it’s the place for you.
However, the room we booked had no window and was extremely small. The bathroom was also very congested — as soon as you open the bathroom door, the toilet is right there with very little space to move.
It would also be helpful if the hotel provided umbrellas for guests, as many hotels do, and charge a fee only if they are damaged or not returned. Overall, great staff and location, but the room size and bathroom layout could be improved.
They dont have elevator which is an issue since i had 2 bags 25kgs and 7 kgs , during checkin the guy helped and when asked for check out early in the morning around 6am the guy at reception of “the alley hotel” because there is no reception guy or team at saigoner hotel since it is abandoned place. The guy at the reception clearly told me no he wont help with the luggage and my room was on 3rd floor technically, so had to manage alone. Vietnam is cheap, please spare few more bucks and book a good hotel with staff
