Saigon Marvel Hostel in Ho Chi Minh

The only reason I would give it one star was because of the price. Only 4 dollars per night. When we entered the room the smell was unpleasant. There was hair everywhere, also in our beds. The worst part of the hostel was the bathroom. It was way too small and very dirty. It did not appear to have been cleaned in a few days (or weeks). However, we slept well, but that was probably because we were very tired already. When we were already checked out, but came back to the room to get our suitcases later that day, we saw that the same bed sheets were used for the new guests (because they had the same spots and holes).
The location was a plus btw, just around the corner of a nice pub street!

DO NOT VISIT HERE. We paid in advance but left and went elsewhere within an hour. The place was filthy and you could smell the kitchen just walking past it.

The beds hadn’t been cleaned since the last guest, they were covered in hair and rubbish. We even found a use razor guard in one of our beds. The sheets weren’t clean and the pillows were very dirty. The bathroom was disgusting and covered in filthy water.

We’ve never left a hostel before but we honestly could not stay here. Older reviews seem to be far more positive but I would not ever return here.

Unfortunately I cannot give this place a good review.

The Aircon was turned almost completely off, making the room hot as hell.

Our bathroom had a shower that wouldn't drain, meaning you would be standing in the previous person's shower water. And there is no soap at the sink.

There are also some people literally living in the dorm rooms rather than staying for a few nights. One particularly irritable man was telling my friends not to speak at 13:00 in the afternoon.

I will say the staff are very cordial and helpful people, but the other factors made it unenjoyable for my friends and I.

Avoid it like the plague.
This was possibly one of the worst places i have stayed at in a long time.
First impression when walking into the room were the extremely potent smell of mold, there the was a huge patch of it on the roof right above one of the beds.
the vinyl placed on the floors was rotting away.
This combined with the absolutely disgusting bathroom.
Made it a pretty miserable environment.
The surroundings of the hostel were a pretty nice "party street", to bad that this also meant that there was a constant background noise.
