We stayed at Lily’s Hostel, right in the middle of the happening party area. The hostel is tucked away in a small alley, it’s quiet during the day, but the nights do get wild and loud—as expected in this neighbourhood.
We stayed on the second floor. There’s no elevator and we had quite a lot of luggage, but the reception lady was extremely helpful and carried our bags both during check-in and checkout, which we really appreciated.
For a short and budget-friendly stay of a day or two, I’d definitely recommend this place. The location is great if you want to experience the nightlife. Our stay was safe and
comfortable.

great location (it is loud as stated on the website of the hostel, yes, but also in the centre of everything), lovely and immensely helpful staff, clean rooms and great social life filled with backpackers open to meet new people. i can only recommend!:]

Stayed in District 1 for four nights – nice budget hotels around Pham Ngu Lao. Laundry was simple thanks to Dan’s Wash & Stay (185/10 Pham Ngu Lao). Open 24 hours, self-service, 30K per load, and the place was spotless. Super useful for tourists.

We stayed at Lily's hostel for one week and couldn't recommend Linh the owner enough. She was so helpful in organising tours, helping with general information and also very nice to our family and children. Thanks Linh!

This is a great stay in the center of Ho Chi Minh City. You're just off the main walking street, so perfectly located for a stroll, and a walkable distance to the main attractions like the War Museum, Cathedral, Post-Office, etc. Lily is great and works so hard to make the hotel a lovely place to stay. She gave us recommendations in the local area, we had laundry done here, a delicious home-cooked breakfast every morning, she even printed off our visas for Cambodia for us! A really great stay, I would definitely recommend.

Amazing Hostel in the heart of Saigon. A warm and welcoming impression when you walk-in to the hostel followed by a neat,clean and comfortable room that makes your stay feeling at home. Beds are very comfortable.The bathroom is clean and has all facilities you need like in a hotel. The location is perfect close to the food street,shops and the city centre of Saigon.The reception is always there to help and assist you.Enjoy a rich and delicious breakfast. in the morningYou will go back to this place.Thanks to the friendly host.

Great hostel with a great staff! Right in the thick of it all but still has a cozy feel. I would recommend this hostel to solos and anyone travelling with friends plenty to do close by. Make sure to ask where the best com tam ( broken rice) spot is when you’re there.

A lovely stay.
We stayed for 5 nights, and though it was near a loud street that did not bother us. We had a noisy room, but Lilh offered to swap us to a quite room on the other side free of charge. We continued with the original room because we are heavy sleepers and it did not bother us. Lilh was extremely helpful and often responded on WhatsApp within 1 minute. She even called our tour company when they were running late and offered to print our visa's. She offered to help us book buses and tours, but we had already arranged this the night before. A lovely stay

One of the worst possible hotel that I ever saw in my life. Horrible staff... Very uncourteous. It seems all they are interested is, in the wallet of customers without taking care of the needs. Very pushy staff. Hotel itself have crampy rooms and no air circulation. I will never ever go back there again.

We checked out after being there for an hour. We were totally okay with how old the hotel was because you get what you pay for. However friendly customer service can be accomplished free of charge.
Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with the front desk when we asked for simple directions to the spa, servers being rude, very loud staff with stuff everywhere while they setup for a wedding.
I understand business must be done but it can be done politely. We ended up checking out immediately without causing a problem at the front desk and even paid 500k VND or $20 USD for the hour we were there.
We immediately booked an Airbnb down the road for less price but with amazing customer service, great location, solid WiFi and even free washer dryers in District 1. So my advice is to avoid this hotel and go with a solid Airbnb.
