Good location for shorefront restaurants and NEX convention centre. Apartment is spacious, air con is good but only in loungeroom, no on-site parking unless you book in advance and it is limited, on St parking in $5.70 per hour. *** bar next door is extremely loud Friday and Saturday nights, hard to get to sleep, no dishwashing liquid provided but ample washing machine powder, some kitchen drawers were faulty and fell apart on opening. Could be better, I expected more from the cost. Why is Newcastle so expensive????

Although the apartment is well located and has some good features, such as good laundry facilities, the air conditioner was inadequate; it could not be set to warm, and the room temperature remained between 16 and 17 °C for my 2-day stay last week, making it my worst accommodation experience ever. There was no sharp knife in the kitchen. The lounge was tatty and frayed.

The nightmare began with trying to find the place, with no obvious signage or entry. Several phone calls later we had got entry, but not before being hit $25/night to park on site, this whole process took over two hours. To confuse matters even more we got 3 different pass codes, one for the car park, one for the unit, one for foyer entry. Unit was nice enough and clean, but couch was very well worn and the air conditioning did not work properly. Unfortunately we scored unit G01 which adjoins The Star Hotel, a place to be on a Friday and Saturday night, but not if you want a quiet nights sleep.

0/10 Do not stay here!!!! Rooms are directly next to a bar - noisey until the early hours. Too many different codes to get in and out. No parking. Had to contact help x3 to enter. Dirty - cockroaches, remnants of the mop wrapped around the furniture, very tiny and nothing like the images in real life. Stay elsewhere!!!

Room was made up nicely, but didn't look like it had been cleaned properly before we attended. Floor hadn't been vacuumed, quilt cover was stained, "droplets" around the toilet bowl, there looked to be blood on the roller blind. The main window from the foyer had a see through blind, so not the best for privacy. Decent sized room for the price. Great location. Called to confirm the booking and was given early access to room. Didn't have much to do with the staff outside of the booking confirmation, but the limited communication was very professional and helpful.

Do NOT stay at this property. Noisy bar next door and music only stopped at 1.00am. Asked for a refund and flatly refused.

My husband and I stayed at Star Apartments in Newcastle on the night of Friday 20th Sept. We were given room G01. On that night a musical/disco event was held, in the laneway right outside our room. It continued until midnight. So we did not have an easy night. I believe that room G01 should not have been offered for use on a night when there was to be excessive noise so close by. The management have ignored my complaint.

The team on New Years Eve/ New Years were absolutely smashed with hundreds of customers and yet they were as quick as can be expected and remained even tempered.

This and all McDonald's should just stop. Just give up, it's so bad, the food, the experience, and no one cares, everyone just still goes there and cops it. No, stop it. We as humans can do better than this.

Customer service? Hello?
What are you going to do if the manager in charge tell you that it is YOUR fault to pick up the wrong drive thru order? It is drive thru! You packed the order. You gave me the order. Am I suppose to check every order you make? Do I work in your assembly line? If I do, you won't even have a job! Don't bother going to this McDonalds.

Customer service is always great, but i have decided to stop going there personally because they keep putting their prices up, and i just cant see the value anymore.

Increasing the value of a Chicken and Cheese burger 50 cents to $3.50 was the final straw.

Just had some chicken nuggets, bloody hard and barely edible, Very good customer service but staff should be trained to detect when a product has been out for too long. Just terrible!

Have gone there a few times, have really enjoyed it and the food so perfect. Wouldn't go anywhere else for seafood. Love it there the amount of food you get for your money is great.

We had to wait a bit but it was well worth it for the money you spend you will get good value for money. This place had tasty seafood. I will gladly recommend this place to others.

The squid was inedible. Way to salty. Taking the name of the restaurant way to far. The Girl at counter was lovely but when I raised the saltiness with chef... No F's given. Spent 170 for an average meal....flounder was ok.
