Newcastle, Cnr Shortland Esplanade and Zaara Street (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The only thing that could be faulted was the bed. It was 2 singles zipped together and quite hard. Other than that amazing location, very clean, new bathroom and great service.
The view outside the hotel is amazing!
The is our first visit in Newcastle, the memories are unforgettable.
Noah's is a bit of a landmark in the area and it's understandable given its fantastic location. The rooms are perfectly adequate for this kind of hotel and the service is very warm. The restaurant is a bit overpriced in my opinion for the quality (average pub food for higher-end restaurant prices) and the service takes quite a while, so you would be better off eating out.
We love the location of Noahs on the Beach beautiful views, close to the surf club, cafes and restaurants. Enjoy the walks from all directions.
Was very welcomed from the moment we walked into reception, receptionist was very friendly, was told we had been upgraded to a beachfront room, was terribly excited, room was lovely, view fantastic, we ordered room service for dinner, absolutely delicious.
We had the best time, highly recommend Noah’s on the beach. Love, love, love.
Amazing location with plenty of restaurants close by and the beach across the road

The room was , clean quiet and i enjoyed my stay
Place may be a little bit far from the main part of town however the staff were amazing. I was only slightly disappointed by the fact that the pool was only a lap pool and not one for recreation but regardless place was immaculate and the bed was amazingly comfortable.
The ambience and facilities at the hotel are great. Rooms are pretty big.
Nice hotel in a convenient location, staff were very nice. Our room was spacious and comfortable, but the soundproofing wasn’t very good. I could hear the lady in the next room speaking quite clearly on her phone and the TV at times.
Overall a good stay and would stay again.
Clean room parking only issue I had was no spa bath instructions wasn’t sure how to turn it off and the Tex bbq place wasn’t open other than that great place highly recommend
Nice and clean, great location with convenience to the club next door.enjoyed a nice meal next door at the Texas Bbq restaurant.
Lovely big king size bed.
Secure parking for peace of mind.
Enjoyed the duel shower that was a nice touch.
Friendly staff
Will definitely stay again.

Room was clean, spacious and tidy. Unfortunately poor wifi meant no access to most TV apps. Male staff whom checked us in was very friendly, efficient and professional.
Very large 2 bed apartment with separate office desk area, disabled facilities, easy parking, ultra quiet, close to shops, restaurants and transport
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Large, clean rooms and a location that suited our needs.
Middle age Female staff member alittle abrupt upon check-in, cockroaches in the room. Property and amenities pretty average overall. Not much on-site.
Enjoyed our recent stay at the Quest. Loved the old school building and architecture. Spacious stylish 2 bed room apartment with all the facilities. Plenty of parking and friendly staff. Good size gym. My only negative was the positioning of our room in ground floor near car park - so no windows /curtains open,
due to no privacy. I will request a room on level 1 next time. But overall not a negative...
This was my home for 3.5 months and loved it.
Beautifully renovated, the guys on the front desk were brilliant. Very helpful in offering advise of things to see in the area & where to be careful not to go. Always friendly, great customer service skills & always taking time to have a chat with you.
However my biggest praise will be for the ladies and gentlemen who made my life comfortable and enjoyable...

Easy to find and excellent parking, friendly service and accomodating with requests
I would recommend staying here
Room was lovely and so convenient for us being close to airport
Wonderful incredibly expensive room but great friendly reception boys.
Staff were lovely, room service good. Room wasn’t clean/ready when we went to our room. Changed rooms which in the end was ok. Breakfast option was a bit disappointing.
Clean rooms great proximity to our wedding function.Walking distance to hotel from airport.
The principal reason to stay here is, of course its location next to the airport - it meets that and exceeds it with excellent service, clean comfortable rooms and friendly staff.

Room has been set up nicely for our family and kids enjoy the spa and swimming pool there. Staff are very friendly and provided good services and information to us.
Central location. Close to everything. Front office staff was very helpful. We had a great time.
Slightly older room but clean and tidy.
Staff were wonderful, nothing was a problem and super helpful
I was my second stay at Quest Newcastle. We booked a two bedroom room for two nights and had a cozy stay with my family. The location is great, and the service is excellent. The hotel is just renovated recently so the room is very new. The bathroom drain is blocked a bit on the first night. I raised the problem to the reception and it was fixed very quickly. Happy to stay again 😀
Renovation delight, room recently renovated, great location really convenient for walking or tram. Staff always professional and kind.
We had a large 2 bed room apartment with a large living room and dining room that was well equipped.
Getting access to the carpark was tricky at first as the street outside was full but a quick call to reception and it was way after that.
Trolleys for room were handy but not always available.
Good location to Honeysuckle and the tram and a nice walk to Nobby’s and the break wall. There is a pub...

Always enjoy my stays there wheather its with friends or family location ,amenities staff are always the best best thanks again for another great weekend
The hotel's location and facilities were excellent, and the front desk service was also very good. The only downside was the slightly careless cleaning with hair in the bathroom and on the pillowcases really lowered our satisfaction level.
I booked room with sofa bed, and they have extra pillow and blanket for it. But, the smell is horrible, damp smell. Other than that I think this hotel has very good location, the staff is friendly
Great stay at Rydges Newcastle. Awesome location on the harbour. Close to beaches and with ample dining options right on your doorstep.
The only let down was the buffet breakfast. Not a great selection of food, and the staff were totally overwhelmed with the breakfast crowd. Food was very slow to come from the egg station and tables were left unclean.
The stay was lovely. Rooms clean and spacious. Bathroom could do with upgrade the curtains on shower made floor slippery. The breakfast was okay. Tables were dirty and we had to request clean cutlery and quite a few things to be restocked. But they were busy.
Hotel is in awesome location. The staff are excellent in all departments. The rooms are starting to look dated and tired. Need some TLC. The bathroom floors are grey and dirty in areas and lots of the timber panels in the rooms are starting to blister and have paint falling of them.

Facility is good, with a variety of restaurant choice nearby.
All works well. Great location. One for any shortlist.
Outstanding spacious room. Darby Street is fascinating. Walk to the civic centre for a show. Excellent service from the delightful receptionists Highly recommended
Bed cover was soiled and it was a sunday, so no cleaning staff and we had to remake our bed ourselves.
There were also dirty smear marks on the wall at the bed head that we cleaned off.
Otherwise a comfortable large and well- equipped space was provided. (Towel hangers in the bathroom would be a nice addition.)
Rooms & bathroom were clean, but bathroom could do with a good deep clean to remove grim .
Good location, lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Underground parking and they have laundry facilities you can use which was great! Staff was very helpful. They have a nice outdoor courtyard to enjoy a glass of wine.

Friendly staff; budget price but room had all the amenities - more than a lot of higher priced motels.
The room was small, and the curtains were too short, so the light from the carpark streamed in all night.
Perfectly adequate room the solid tile floor a good thing in a pet friendly room.
Just too many laminated signs all over the room pointing out things that you can’t do.
Clean and neat room for a couple. Bed was not great as prefer softer mattress. Fine for a night stop over. Lovely staff.
Clean, tidy and comfortable. Thoughtful inclusions and friendly staff. Very convenient - would stay again!
Second stay & just as fantastic as the first, you just can't fault the amazing staff here.

The rooms are clean and tidy & the hospitality from the staff is excellent.
Good location, the adjacent pub does good food and the cafe next door does good coffee. The staff were friendly & helpful, especially on a weekend where Newcastle accommodation was sold out!!
Room was neat and tidy, staff were friendly and had a great pub downstairs with nice food and very kid friendly
Was one of best places my wife and I have every stayed. The accommodation is actually a hotel. My wife was due to have a procedure at John Hunter which was only 6 mins away. The Inn has an elevator that services the basement to the accommodation. The accommodation is very neat and comfortable and the bed is particularly comfortable. The room is air conditioned for heating and cooling. The bistro downstairs...
This hotel might be a Best Western franchise, and it differs significantly from other hotels of the same brand I've stayed at in several countries. Firstly, it's not a standalone building, but rather situated within a cluster of shops on the street; the reception desk is also a convenience store counter. Secondly, the rooms are very small; the space for a carry-on suitcase is just behind the door,...
Very clean and conveniently located to shopping, hospital & major sporting grounds. Car parking is off the street which is another big tick.

Reasonable apartment. Needs some love. Location great, but a little rough at nights
Room was good , parking is a joke, no mention of booking parking or the $25 charge. When I got the check in email it mentioned it& to call reception. I got told to pay $25 for a car park 1 block away.Took the risk of parking in the street for free
close to all the shops & lots of places to eat, room was nice & has everything you need.
Boulevard on Beaumont
The only issue was safety problem that the smoke detector had a shower cap over it.
Was nice clean and in a good spot to go for a walk to get food and look around, the paid parking very small spot of in a larger car
The rooms were comfortable but the air conditioner was set to automatic temperature of 28degrees which was way too hot too sleep in. We had to get up during the night to turn it off and then 3 hours later it would come back on again.
The location was central but also noisy over the weekend being so close to the pubs. I also felt unsafe coming into the building at night as there were unsavoury looking...

Property was very spacious for a family of 4 . Very quiet. Great location
I like that it had 2 toilets n also easy access n a quiet neighbourhood n all facilities to utilise
Good apartments but customer service lacking
Nice apartments but the check in process was disappointing. Asking for credit card details on the day, not sending check in codes despite me confirming who to send them to twice. Had to ring twice to get check in codes then an additional code was sent the same evening.
It is a really nice place, clean, spacious, and well- presented. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We really like this property as it feels like home. Our stay was great, and we highly recommend this property.
Great accommodation. Very clean.
Only problem was parking. Our car was too big for the garage and we had to park out on the street.

Really nice in such a price it was truly unbelievable. Small room but had all the ammenities perfectly. Would rather stay here again than a highend hotel. Had beautiful views very close to the hotel
Easy process to check in, room was clean and as per the photos. There is a lively pub downstairs. Wifi was average. Would stay again and recommend for an affordable night stopover in Newcastle.
The room 1 is spacious and worth for money.
I really enjoyed staying here. The room had enough space. The bathrooms were nice and very clean !
And you can get easily to the pub downstairs and order food which was delicious. As I didn’t had a car it was convenient that the bus stop was 6 min away walking distance from the hotel.
Ofc staying above a pub is quite loud but i didn’t really mind that. I wished the rooms had a mini fridge to put...

Love the internal garage, homely feel to the place, excellent facilities, could really live there forever. Lovely view of the sun setting from the balcony, my only negative is the balcony is looking straight into other peoples backyards, but apart from that it is in a really central location and scenic area
Great location, bedding very comfortable, effective communication from *******, but needed better instructions on closing the garage. Good size for a short term stay.
Garage door wouldn't close/lock which was disconcerting. Felt like I was getting bitten by something in the bed. Flyscreen in bathroom was broken which meant there were some bugs in the room.
We have stayed about 5 times and love the location in quirky Newcastle East with 2 beaches and ocean baths on the door step. Right next to the harbour and town (still needs love and attention). Parking is always the main issue and u have to b prepared to be part of the community. It is close quarter living and you can hear everything on the street. But it isnt a busy car street. This is Quintessential...
It was a great stay! The terrace was well suited to our holiday needs- had a laundry, bbq, kitchen and courtyard. We have an 18 month old and he was loving the stay as well. We stayed for 1.5 weeks and the cleaners came half way through our stay as well. The only down side was lack of parking- we had to constantly keep topping up the metered parking.
Stayed in Adeline for the long weekend. What a fantastic place!! Well equipped kitchen, great balcony and courtyard, cute and comfortable inside. On a quaint little street in a central location close to the beach, public transport, and great cafes and bars. The hosts were really helpful and accommodating too. Stayed overnight for a night out at the Civic theatre.Very convient to the civic theatre, walking distance. Very comfy and spacious, super comfortable bed . Had some hassle with gaining access to the unit as we were given the wrong code but very accessible by phone . It was a great stay
We had a great stay, perfect location. Our apartment was clean and spacious with views of street and sunset. Easy!

Great, old fashioned local character pub. Supportive of local music, and most refreshingly, pokie free. Friendly bar staff serve up a reasonable range of rotating tap beer. Cider, wine, soft drink & cocktails also readily available. Gourmet pizza's from 4.30 pm are top notch - dine in or takeaway.
Such a good value stay, highlights were the cleanliness of the rooms and the well maintained toilets. Walking distance to Darby street and the beaches.
Only issue might be the lack of air-conditioning in the summer months
My recent 4 night stay was nothing but positive. Top notch pub accommodation in a great location near to cafes, bars and supermarkets. My room was cozy and the cleanliness was 5 star. The management and staff were lovely, it was just general good vibes!
Thanks for having me guys :)
Small Rooms, were quite cleanliness.
The shared bathrooms were okay. No soap, many shampoos and other stuff from other guests laying around. Also only one key per room is a bit weird for a room with a shared bathroom.
No fridge, no coffee in the room.
Was really loud until midnight.
Check-in was nice and definitely not our worst experience, but for the price I'd not sleep here again.
Central to everything, we walked to the civic theatre to watch a show. Many options to eat out, 5 min drive to beach
The pizzas at the ori are delicious, staff were all genuinely happy and helpful.
Rooms are what you'd expect from an old pub. Beds are very comfortable. Could use more than one pillow. Share toilets are clean and well functioning. Staff are super friendly and helpful Their pizzas are very, very good. Great toppings choices and crispy bases. Looks like it's a choice of the locals that are very varied and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

There was only one bathroom and toilet and when most rooms are taken that’s a problem but as it is with most things you get what you pay for it would be better if the description was a little more detailed
Room was basic but clean and good value for money. Great location and quiet. Staff were friendly and professional.
I have stayed at the Premier before
That's why I booked there
My preference of room was booked out for this stay
So I chose single room with shared bathroom and was a bit unsure what to expect
It wasn't terrible at all
I enjoyed having access to the balcony
I slept so soundly,I didn't move all night
I did dine in the bistro one evening the food was ready quickly and it was lovely
I was provided...
Very clean room renovated. Bit of noise from surrounding rooms and bed very creaky
I enjoyed the balcony attached to the rooms, very convenient
Bed was great
Unfortunately the Air Conditioner was not working to make the room warm.
The hot water for the shower took a very long time to come through as in the water heater isn’t close to the rooms.

Dear Readers,
I went away from Sydney for Christmas and stayed at YHA Newcastle Beach, simply put, it was perfect. Huge thanks to Damian for letting me check in a little early, and to the entire crew for making the Christmas Eve potluck so delicious and fun. The volleyball game with fellow hostellers was so good that my hands are still recovering!
Such a beautiful experience overall. Lovely rooms...
Much like the city it's in, it's a cozy spot that quickly feels like home. There's no better place to lay your head while you discover and fall in love with Newy.
Though I obviously haven't been in the hostel the entire time, I've seen a 2 day trip become a year in town instead. A large part of that change of plans was due to the initial experience and lifestyle the YHA and it's incredible staff allowed...
My friend and I stayed in YHA Newcastle for a few nights as a stop over during our east coast tour and it was the perfect 2nd location. The hostel was very homey and the staff were beyond friendly and helpful. The check in was super easy (especially as we arrived late and reception isn’t 24hrs), the hostel isn’t too big so we found our room easily and the rooms were spacious with showers close by....

Stressful experience, they said I will get my bond back 2-4 weeks (also indicated on website) its been 4 weeks n the money still didn't come to my account.
I was given the excuse the auto release didn't work for the bond back, if I didn't check my money would have been lost.
Also we were given private suite (no door to toilet n shower) we were a family of 3 n they setup a bed in the living room...
Everything was reasonable.... however, the units are not as clean as you expect them to be.
Chifley is close to everything Newcastle has to offer.
The staff were wonderful! Helped me navigate bus and rail trips. Gave great recommendations on what to see and do.
The Facilty is spotless! The pool is great.
Thanks for the washing machine and dryer in the room.
Everything you could ask for and reasonably priced.
Thank you for a memorable stay and I’ll recommend to all my friends.
We stayed there for 3 nights for a family trip. It was very nice and comfortable place. Location was perfect, appliances was clean, you can cook, you can have a bath and spa. Lots of restaurants surrounded, museum is in 5 minutes by foot.
This apartment-style hotel exceeded my expectations. The price was reasonable. It's a one-bedroom apartment with a kitchen, washing machine, and a small balcony. The location is close to the beach; you can take a walk along the beach just across the street.
Excellent, exactly what we were looking for.
