Good location near airport, always be the first choice when going to Mackay

Very close the Mackay Airport and very comfortable, quiet and clean

The rooms are great. Excellent beds and no noise from aircraft. Meals are really good too. Staff awesome. At times it still feels like a mining camp. Maybe the introduction of a QR code ordering system would help those that find it hard to order of a menu.

Location to airport is great. Walk from the terminal to Ibis is about 2 minute walk. Restaurant attached is great. Rooms are small. Beds are way too soft and mattresses need to be turned over. Feels like your feet are more elevated than your head. Plus be good to make sure beds dont move around when you get in and out of the bed. As a CPAP user, putting my machine on the shelf beside the bed had just...

Easy location and great timing to catch your flights. Rooms had fast wifi, clean and excellent aircon. Quiet space to get work done uninterrupted. Bar downstairs offers great food, or there’s some dirty red rooster across in the airport if you need it. Pool and gym access easy and sufficient for a quick workout - Dumbbells, walker and bike

Although it is next to the airport, it is not noisy at all. The restaurant downstairs is good and the scenery outside the window is also very good.

Check in was seamless, the apartment clean and in good condition. We like the location, close to everything

Very comfortable apartment with plenty of room. Great location near the city, free swimming pool Lagoon and large shopping centre.

Great views of the river. Walking distance to Canelands, the lagoon and dining. Nice room. The view from the open area at the top floor is beautiful. My only complaint was that there is a bad smell in the room. It needed to be aired out daily.

The blinds in lounge room were mouldy, floor was a bit sticky to walk on and the shower screen in the bedroom was soap scummy. Some dishes were dirty. TV controls for the bedroom were on top of switchboard cabinet instead of on the side table in bedroom. The apartment was very comfortable and roomy. We had a good night sleep.

Clean room, but had Clean the room sign out for three days. ( Not done) ended up asking cleaner for clean towels. A little disappointing

2nd stay Good location, we liked the size and layout of the apartment, it also had a good sized balcony overlooking the river

Very central location Clean comfy room We found the unit to be clean easily accessible with having a car park literally at the door. After a long drive we found having room service available for a meal was excellent - the meal itself & customer service. Jimmy D's restaurant is also open to dine in - breakfast also available for room service if ordered the night before. We will definitely stay again...

May sound minor but the fact that when we booked in late at night, the key was in the safe box at the office and the room had milk and biscuits was great. Nice room as well.

Comfortable overnight stay Very quick check-in. Our room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. Lowset older style motel with convenient parking outside front door. Some aeroplane noise early in the night, but this ceased by bedtime. Would stay here again.

It was amazing. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept on. The place was clean and gave off a real chill vibe. Also love the little smoking area in the centre, great idea

The King Bed was Aweful both woke with a sore back way too soft just sunk into it. Sheets weren’t very nice very stiff not overly nice. The shower head was too forceful it pelted you like needles. The fridge and freezer didn’t work properly half cold at best and freezer didn’t freeze our blocks.

The Shores Holiday Apartments Mackay hosted the three Adjudicators for the 2026 Queensland Highland Dancing Championships. The apartment served the needs of the adjudicators very well and the management were very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended

Highly recommend this resort as a place for a relaxing holiday - the owners are very accommodating and the accommodation is well maintained, very clean and comfortable with fantastic amenities. Right on the beach and 3 pools (inc one small child pool), tennis courts and a fantastic bbq area. It really does have everything and having stayed in multiple locations in Mackay, I think you'd be crazy to...

Nicole and her hubby have been very friendly to us and helped us when needed. We have stayed with our family and used three of the units. Our two storey townhouse is a bit more dated than the others and is missing some kitchen essentials like chopping board and teaspoons. Otherwise, it's been very comfortable. Kids could connect the Netflix (essential to them 🤣). The beds are cosy with extra blankets...

The location is great, right on the beach. Far enough away to be nice and quiet, yet not so far as to be in the middle of nowhere. The deluxe villas are roomy and comfortable and the owners/managers (Nikole and Jai) are very friendly and helpful! Multiple pools, a tennis court and BBQ facilities make it a great place to stay!

We stayed at The Shores for 1 week and thoroughly enjoyed the tropical gardens and direct access to the beach. Beach walks every day was a highlight for me and for my son the highlight was catching a fish on the first day we arrived. We stayed in a spacious villa which was fully self contained and we made use of the BBQ area and pools. We will definitely come back as there is so much to see and do...

This is a great little hotel and affordable. We stayed with our 3 children, they loved playing in all the different pools. Whole place was really peaceful. Love that the rooms were aircon as it was so so hot outside. Place was nice and tidy too.

Been staying here a number of times as it is very spacious and comfortable. Always clean and in a handy location. Good value for money.

A great motel. Friendly reception. Very clean. Had real cutlery & crockery + washing up liquid, tea towel etc. Comfy bed. Installed hand wash, shampoo & cond, body wash minimising throw-away plastic 👍 Undercover parking right outside our door. Would definitely stop here again.

Although the rooms are small, its good for a quick stop over, kids loved the playground. Staff was lovely and helpful. Place was clean. Nice quiet place.

Rooms very clean comfortable quiet and friendly organised host , attention to detail - three in the room so there were three packets of biscuits three pots of milk just very nice to stay. There would recommend

Great location in the center of town! The staff were so friendly, and my room was spotlessly clean. Perfect for walking to nearby shops and cafes. Highly recommend for a comfortable, central stay!

Well looked after mid range motel in city centre, plenty of food options close by and off street parking. The owner is quite friendly and easy to deal with. Rooms as expected and clean and tidy. The bathroom is tiny but plenty of hot water. Quiet location near town centre. Recommend the Greek restaurant next door and woodmans axe for breaky.
