Hobart, 20 Runnymede St (in the centre) 🧭 Map
Lenna is the most beautiful place to stay. Boutique style in the heart of historical Battery Point/Salamanca. Lovely rooms with fresh air, spotless, spacious & comfortable. Staff are always friendly & helpful. Free parking is a bonus. Highly recommend.
It's too old, the facilities are outdated, and it's not located in the heart of the town; it's rather remote.
There is free parking available, convenient for travelers with rental cars.
The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are large, and the beds are very comfortable!
The location is near the Saturday market and not far from the city center.
My partner and I were here for 4 nights for a weekend down from Melbourne. Check-in was very convenient with a 24-hour receptionist and the location right at the end of Salamanca was perfect for wandering into down and especially to pop into the Salamanca Market on Saturday! Room was very spacious with a couch and small table to sit at; and we stayed on the Harbour side so had fabulous views of the...
The hotel is in a good location, suitable for self-driving tourists, with convenient parking and a 2-minute walk to Salamanca Square.
The room is comfortable, clean and has good hot water.
Located in the heart of Hobart. Features free parking (although a bit overcrowded). Enjoyed the room, especially the bed, which was super comfortable

Rooms are clean, well equipped and nice bathroom. We are big group and stayed 3 rooms for 3 nights, everyday have some incidents but in general services are good but still have room to improve in an average range of services.
Fantastic location-walking distance to beautiful gardens, restaurants and bay. Well appointed rooms and comfortable beds. The staff were absolutely delightful and couldn’t be more helpful! Thanks once again and we will highly recommend and be back 🤩
Small hotel Very quiet had parking straight across road,Very nice staff reception only office hours but didn’t bother us , would definitely like to stay longer next time
Yes,
Towel rail in the bathroom needed attention, we managed the problem.
Great location.
A very nice hotel with well set up little apartments, with nice touches like a balcony (although metal screens blocked the view a bit). The staff were very friendly and helpful. They have a car stacker, which holds 14 cars and is a marvel. However, be warned that if you arrive after reception closes then you will need to find street parking, which on a Fri night (as we had) is almost impossible. After...
We absolutely Loved our stay here and will be back!
Everything was thought of, from the welcoming bed chocolates, to the bath salts, to a wide range of tea and coffee available, extra towels, slippers, dressing gown… I could go on and on.
Super quiet, warm, Clean, spacious and central to everything.
The staff were welcoming and so helpful and the parking so convenient for our small car.

Great location , staff helpful and friendly, recommend 2 bed unit for families .
Yes we love staying here and thank you so much...we will be back on a good price you gave us definitely....
Room wasn’t as pictured - no bath which was why I’d booked it, and it was described as ‘shower/bath’ but was only a shower.
Staff a bit rude at check in, and also when I asked for the bottle of wine ******* had added as a frequent traveller VIP perk. Then they gave me a $10 bottle of wine. Overall just a bit disappointing.
Perfect location and a very easy check in process at the hotel across the road. Access to car-parking great. Rooms a little tired and needing some renovations but serve their purpose.
the location was perfect for our trip this time to Hobart, over all the room was good however, the sliding doors our into the balcony have what looked to be black mould around the top.
Great location - so we keep coming back. One bedroom appt was very spacious, well equipped and serviced daily. Part of the historic Lenna hotel across the road, with access available to guest of this appt.

Room was spacious even with a fold out extra bed. Nothing was too much trouble. Thanks so much to Sue and the team
Everything was awesome, including the cleanliness and services. It is located in the centre of the city and very convenient with just walking distance to the wharf, Salamanca market, restaurants and St David’s cathedral. We cooked in the room too, the equipment provided in their kitchen were very practical and useful.
There was no elevator so if you’re carrying heavy luggage you might need some help...
The apartment was quiet, bright and clean and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay with them again.
Very good location but relatively old facilities with stairs that are a killer and some walk to the car park.
System for late checkin very organised and flawless-very much appreciated at the end of a long day
Staff were lovely to deal with, in our brief and efficient inter-actions. Great location between CBD and waterfront. Room spacious and clean.

It seems to be a national trust protected building. Place has has been recently touched up but standards of are slipping.
Staff in the dining room and bar were lovely.
Strange that there is no dinner in their dining room or room service on Sundays or Mondays. Not 4 star by any means.
Love the building, love the high ceilings in the reception and dining areas. The location is just beautiful. Gorgeous town, great views everywhere you look. It's a really pretty town.
The only real question is; would I stay there again? Erh, no.
I have said repeatedly, do not let architects design rooms, particularly bathrooms. A nice big room with high ceilings(+), large bathroom (+), bench with sink (+), but (many negatives),
bed with huge foot end which obscures the TV,
the TV is cheap & really not worth even trying to use so woeful is the menu,
NO powerpoints either side of...
Nice old buildings full of Character, rooms had no aircon (only heating) but the room didn't need it, it seemed to keep a nice temp throughput our stay. Place made up of the main building and a series of outbuildings or bungalows, where we were. Not ideal with yucky weather, when walking to the restpurant or reception.
The hotel itslef is about a 20-30min walk to the CBD, which is a hike, but only...
Huge suite. Expected more toiletries than just shampoo, conditioner and soap. Only one bin in bathroom so I moved it out to lounge - for such a large room two bins would work better. These are just minor of course - bed was comfortable, shower great and kitchenette handy. So disappointed with the pool - sad, old, sparse furniture and pool had bird poo and bees in it so putting on the filter more often...
The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. The room was impeccably clean, well-designed

Very comfortable and spacious cottage accommodation. All very relaxing and staff very friendly. Nice garden and area to sit out. Complimentary port and chocolates are a very nice touch.
WiFi connectivity in cottage was poor.
Great room, fantastic amenities, comfortable bed and excellent location. Would definitely stay here again.
Kathy was amazing for breakfast each morning and available for any requirements during the day. Room was stunning with comfortable bed and amenities. Would highly recommend.
Our room was clean with all necessities provided. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Bed was comfortable.

Everything about the property was amazing and I highly recommend it to others. The house was beautifully and tastefully decorated with everything that you could possibly need. The gardens are also very lovely.
Wow this place is so amazing!!! The first time we opened the door, me and my friends said WOW at the same time! It’s very modern but there’s a huge white mirror in the room and the old dead tree in the lounge area that amazed us😊They have the electric fireplace in the lounge room, the kitchen is so modern, I love the red color! They also have the Main House and it’s very unique,if you are on the second...
Pavilion A was perfect for 4 nights! Quirky decor, outside seating, cozy fireplace for chilly mornings, and a comfie bed for a good night's rest! Light and bright, functional layout and very responsive staff. The main house is well preserved and historic, with beautiful gardens and a parlor with an honesty bar, very well-stocked. We didn't have the breakfast but I would recommend that as an add...
1 nite
Parking space can be limited for a large vehicle. Especially since we were a party of 7.
This is one of the nicest accommodations I have ever stayed in. The location was great, the decor was exceptional and having the whole house was perfect. We were a group of two couples and three children. There was plenty of space for all of us. We loved discovering all the beautiful aspects of this unusual property.
This scenic hotel is very special. We stayed 3 nights in a Victorian pavilion. Big bedrooms and a large spacious dining and living area plus pantry kitchen and terrace. The whole arrangement of buildings incl. main house is very scenic. Very friendly staff. Located quite closely to the city Center, however, situated on a hill (better grab a cab on the way back to the hotel)

We had a lovely 4 day stay. The property qas small but had everything we needed. The property manager was fantastic and very helpful. The location was spot on, stunning views and a short work to everything. We'd happily stay again.
Rooms were spacious. Well looked after and great location
Clean and spacious
close to the restaurants
stairs required to reach the rooms
It was a beautiful apartment, Clean great amenities. The only downside was the queen bed desperately needs a new mattress. We both rolled into the middle of the bed. Didn’t get much sleep.
Located within walking distance of Salamanca.
So close to Salamanca Markets and all the lovely dining options down there. Off street parking is an absolute bonus. Perfect facilities, thank you for our enjoyable stay.

The Grand Old Duke was a wonderful place to stay. We had the York apt which was spacious and comfortable. Spotlessly clean. Lovely host and what a perfect location. We didn’t need our car until we set off for country adventures. Highly recommend it.
The Grand Old Duke is indeed grand. We spent 4 nights there and the accommodation was beautifully decorated and clean. Reminded me of my grandparents home in England. Despite facing the Main Street in summer, we did not hear any traffic while indoors. After two weeks in New Zealand we were also able to do our laundry which was helpful. The location is also perfect to walk down to Salamanca place...
We adored our stay at The Grand Old Duke, York apartment. He was so grand, thoughtfully decorated and impressive. Great location and very comfortable stay.
Some negatives is if staying on ground floor, noise from passers by can be annoying. But generally it’s fine.
The Grand Old Duke is central to all things Hobart. You can walk downtown. There are cafe's an restaurants all within a short walk. Being an old building I had to have the heating on as it was winter. Everything you need for a short stay is at hand. It was pretty quiet, and it was clean. I thought it really good value and will stay again.
Beautiful historic accommodation in a perfect location. Host contactable and very pleasant to deal with. An easy walk to Salamanca and Hobart CBD.

This hotel near the city centre is perfect for a quick walk to the harbour, and the spacious rooms have plenty of room for our luggage.
Just be aware there’s no elevator and the rooms are only accessible by stairs. The reception is located inside a bar next to the gaming lounge.
Very Central Location, rooms above a pub and ******. Stayed here for a reasonable price. Love the toilet with a heater lamp that keeps the place warm. Need to walk up a flight of stairs.
Great place to stay in Hobart, right in the centre of the city! Shops, restaurants and attractions all within walking distance. Old fashioned hotel above a pub. The staff very helpful 🙂
The staff were friendly and the facilities were clean and nice. The location was good. The only downside was that the soundproofing wasn't very good, but everything else was fine. I would definitely visit again. Recommended.
Very nice and clean room, located on top of a ******. I was surprised by its location, but it exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness and quality. We had a very nice stay! The only drawback was that you could hear the tv from the room next door, so it is not perfectly soundproof I’d say, but we had a lovely stay regardless.

We rang and arranged a small group tasting. Louise was wonderful. Excellent wines and brandies.
Great cabin in beautiful surrounds. Has everything you need. Enjoyed our stay.

We loved the cottage. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. Plenty of space for four people.
Loved having the fire. Close to the airport and we would love to come again.
We enjoyed the serenity. Very well equipped cottage. The Richmond bakery mmmmmmm
We booked rather late so can only stay one night. Recommend at least two nights. It’s an amazing cottage with everything pretty everything you need from cooking species and fragrant candle in the toilet. Internet Wi-Fi was stable.
One of the best venues for craft drinks we've visited in Tassie so far. The Blood Orange brandy was so delicious, quite unique. But so were the 10 plus other drinks to taste as well. For a small Family business, definitely punches well above its size for impact. Highly recommend

Essentially just a room to sleep, if you’ll be spending most of your time out and about . No lifts, just stairs. Street parking is only free on Sundays or $8/day at the church around the corner
Not clean, sleeping is not comfortable regardless night and not a good view from the window. And not what I expected from the internet photos.
Visit was for medical reasons, didn't expect 2 big flights of stairs to the room, far too hard...
Need and asked for a printed invoice to claim expenses but they won't give me one....
The room quite okay, nearby many restaurant including Indian and Chinese restaurant. Walking distance to city. Also near to the sky bus airport bus stop.
Cons: no one at the counter to check in. You have to call the owner. Can use public phone to call the number at the counter.
Overall, 👍
It wasn't pleasant to stay there...
no reception , no control who can follow you to the room as the front door are open.
no elevator, heavy bags are not recommended to stay here.
This place is not very clean, own by Chinese and there a Chinese restaurant on the ground floor, we will not recommend to go there🤢

The hotel was clean and well-maintained. The room was spacious, and even had a small balcony with beautiful views to wake up to! The bathroom had a separate shower and toilet, and the kitchen was fully equipped with everything, including a washing machine. The bus stop right outside made it super convenient to get around. They cleaned the room daily, and I was very satisfied with my four-night stay
Good location, close to waterfront. Unfortunately, also close to Hobart Hospital so you can hear the helicopter coming and going which was quite noisy at night.
Our apartment was spacious but more dated than it appeared in photos and we had a view over the air conditioning units. ☹️
Restaurant was great for dinner at night but the only good thing I can say about the breakfast is the lovely friendly...
nice location by the pier; just 10 min walk. A big room with 3 queen size beds and 2 single beds. There are three bathrooms, with one of those doesn't have shower. So may need to wait a bit if there are more people
Nice place to stay. Convenient location to see the sights of Hobart

Although the hotel is a little dated, it was still clean. The room had a microwave, cups cutlery etc and was very clean. It was good value for money and woukd stay there again.
Great location very close to CBD with free onsite parking and nice view. Very friendly reception staff. Just one comment about kitchen facilities - it'll be fair to mention limited shared kitchen in the Trip.com description as it opens only after 9.30am and closes early too. When the feature says kitchen, it has to be a kitchen, not with restricted one. Thanks.
Absolutely fine for one or two nights. Good value for money. The facilities are a bit sparse; there could be a few more kitchen utensils.
Arrived late but easy intercom check in.Leaking cistern dripping all night.Sat up in bed against wall and rolled away as bed on wheels. Could do with a paint
Nice welcome at reception. Friendly staff. Nice location with good views. Basic room but had what we needed.
Not bad hotel. But there were no tea bags, no milk. Cutlery looks extremely poor. All was from different set, some from hiking set. Also a lot of dust on the bathroom lights. To fix these problems will cost almost nothing, but it will improve the impression. And the final problem is parking. If you return late, there will be no parking place for you.
