I stayed at Willing hotel with modest expectations, but unfortunately, several key issues made the stay uncomfortable.
On the positive side, the front desk and staff were polite and helpful. The room itself was functional, though quite basic.
However, there were significant drawbacks:
• The on-site restaurant was not operational, and there was no room service available. The only food option was ordering a reheated frozen meal from the bar — hardly what you’d expect from a hotel of this level.
• There was no safe in the room. Instead, I was told to use a shared downstairs room where a security guard would assist me each time I needed access. This was impractical and insecure, so I ended up carrying my valuables, documents, and devices with me at all times.
• The towels were extremely worn out — clearly having survived hundreds of washes and long overdue for replacement.
• Most concerning: I detected a camera in the room using a dedicated device. This raises serious privacy concerns and left me feeling deeply uncomfortable throughout my stay.
I hope management takes these issues seriously, especially those related to guest safety and privacy.
Recommend to take without breakfast. There are some better and cheaper spots with all-day breakfasts around.
But these rich folks save on toilet paper - you get the second hand roll for the price of a 5-start hotel. Nice job!
- we travelled with a small dog and paid 20 USD extra to check in all together (that's ok). The dog left 2 pee marks on bed sheets (our fault) so upon checkout we were asked to reimburse the damage (absolute reasonable). BUT, we were asked to pay 30 USD per bed sheet which is absolutely weird. So, eventually we paid almost a full room rate (60 USD) for just 2 damaged bed sheets. Future guests, be cautious and don't damage anything otherwise you might be charged an unreasonable sum as a compensation.
