The Holy Spirit Cathedral in Minsk, Belarus is dedicated to the Holy Spirit. It is the central cathedral of the Belarusian Orthodox Church.
The Theotokos icon in the Cathedral has been reported as miraculousThe cathedral dates back to 1633-1642, when the Bernardine monastery was built, at a time when the city was in centre of the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth. The building was damaged by fire in 1741 and required the reconstruction of the monastery.

The Holy Spirit Cathedral is the main cathedral of the Belarusian Orthodox Church and dates back to 1633-1642. This was located next to our hotel in Minsk so we passed by it many times each day, as a functioning church it had a constant flow of visitors at all hours.
There is plenty to see around the Cathedral with exhibitions often held to the side, many other interesting buildings, hotels and restaurants. The subway is located nearby as well.

One of the most beautiful places in the city. Especially in the evening when burning balls of lights.

Liberty square gets its original appearance, architectural ensemble, I hope, soon be completed. Holy spirit Church is a major landmark in the architecture of Minsk, the benefit of it was recreated in the Baroque and not in the pseudo-Russian, as required by the Belarusian ekzarkhat, style.

Very beautiful and unusual Church. One of the symbols of Belarus. Is a harmonious synthesis of East and West, European architecture, Byzantine iconography. In the Cathedral is the most important Shrine - the Minsk icon of the Mother of God. Believers will enjoy the lowest in the city prices on candles and notes, a good selection of books in the store Spiritual heritage. For baptism there is a separate little Church.

The beautiful Cathedral is completely filled with tourists. Nearby there is an observation deck, which offers good views of the city.
