Not only is this the most stylish and well-designed hotel in all of Belgium, the owner's charisma and charm is unrivalled. From the minute you step into the hotel or its neighbouring restaurant, you'll be met with a big smile by one of the friendly staff members. The food is excellent (classic with a twist), the atmosphere warm, and the rooms have been expertly designed to marry savvy functionalism with impeccable style. With its central location (in the heart of Antwerp's vibrant art district) and wonderful staff (who'll get you the inside scoop on whatever is going on in the city), this is a hotel one keeps coming back to over and over again. The perfect home away from home!

Had a lovely lunch here a little while ago, so decided to stay in the hotel based on that experience 💗 Our room was lovely, the people friendly - and had my first Aperol Spritz of the season outside in the sunshine 🥂☀️ Breakfast was relaxed and tasty too 😍

Boutique hotel in a central location. We had a basic room that featured a double bed, an open plan shower with a large curtain for separation from the sleeping area, and a separate toilet. Reception is basic with a phone to call for assistance. Amenities are limited to a hotel restaurant that appears to be mostly used by non-residents. We enjoyed our stay.

Regarding the restaurant downstairs Pilar. The service is a disaster. We ordered two orders of oysters, but instead they brought us just 2, room temp disastrous looking oysters, that had any sauce. he just gave us a pepper and one slice of lemon. Whattawhat????? Seriously ??? Shame on you. When we asked to cancel the rest of them, he just rolled his pathetic eyes on us. Never ever will I come back to that "restaurant".

Excellently located opposite The Royal Museum of Fine Arts (KMSKA), the sunny terrace of Hotel Pilar looks welcoming. However, although pleasant and courteous the service was slow, and the food mediocre. My friend's meatloaf was acceptable, but my Shrimp Croquettes were not: composed of a slimy brown sauce, deep-fried, the two small croquettes (20€) had very little to do with shrimps, and a great deal to do with processed food. Disappointing.

The friendly staff and super cool interior Location is great for getting to know the city with best galleries, restaurants, shops, museums, ... Great restaurant on the ground floor as well, great caesar salad and seasonal dishes. The rooms also have amazing views.

The small room we booked turned out to be not only huge but also an interior designers dream, the hidden staircase is a gallery full of contemporary art and the breakfast was a delight - even for breakfast-avoiders like me. The location could not be better if you like restaurants and being far enough away from the beaten tourist tracks.
