The hotel is in a very good location, right next to the cathral; my room faced the back of the property and I was not at all troubled by noise. It is also quite well equipped and the wifi worked (thought the TV seemed to have only one channel available). The problem for me, as an older person travelling alone to attend a conference, was that there was no-one there most of the time, so it was very impersonal; even the check was done without contact and between Wednesday lunchtime and Friday evening I did not encounter anyone at all. Most importantly, it was entirely unmanned at night, so I did not feel safe. I think that this should have been made clear on the initial information, as I would certainly not stayed there had I known.

Excellent hotel location. Rooms and hotel lovely and chic and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful . good value for money. In a busy vibrant area so expect some noise but perfect for us thank you ! We would definitely use this hotel again for a city break

Nice little hotel, centrally located, clean, and with a decent bed. However, we barely got any sleep in our street-facing room due to excessive noise on Friday night. If you stay here, bring earplugs. A good night's sleep should be the core business of any hotel.

We are currently on our second day & leaving tomorrow, our room 1.2 is very nice and quirky with no noise from outside considering we are right in the centre of the pedestrianised old town with a nice touch of a mini fridge in the guise of an old fashioned radio & large shower. We travelled on our motorbike & the lovely hosts went out of their way to provide secure parking for it which we are so grateful for. You can’t get a better location & we would highly recommend this hotel for a stay in Antwerp. Colin & Vikkii

This hotel is a scandal. We would have slept outside and it would have been the same. Located near the cathedral, in a shiny street, the window wouldn't close. It was as if we were outside, impossible to sleep! When we complained, the staff told us that they had just been informed of the problem and that the repairman was not available. didn't get the room we made a reservation for. room was on ground floor, people looked into room all day from the street, very noisy, very smelly room, very cold room. small tv. Cleaning staff uses same door as entrance from early in the morning. Owner (Laurie) was very rude and although she could still give the room we booked, she refused to help. Had to pay the same amount for a smaller, darker, less cosy room than offered. don't go there if you get the room on the ground floor.

This city centre hotel next to the cathedral is set over three floors. Because of the age of the building the steep and winding stairs may prove difficult to those of limited mobility. The rooms are graded as superior, standard and budget and priced accordingly. Our superior room was large and on the ground floor. The bathroom was in need of refurbishment and the addition of a wardrobe would be a plus. The breakfast was included but was not as good as on our previous visit (no hot food). Sometimes the staff needed prompting to restock the cold table. I felt that it traded on the location.

The service was correct, but it was a bit expensive for the condition of the hotel and the variety of the breakfast. The bed was comfortable but the room was quite tiny. The location was very good, but since it's so central you hear everyone (most of the time drunk) shouting on the street during the night. You also hear everytime when anyone goes to the (shared) toilet. I can recommend it if you're staying one quick night, but if you come for a few days and want your quality sleep and services maybe not.

Nice hotel located next to the Grote Markt and really cute streets full of cafes and restaurants. Breakfast buffet is really nice and the staff is friendly. Room was really simple (no tv, no bathroom) but a super comfy bed; we got the room next to the street and we enjoyed the bells from the cathedral that is just next to the hotel, at night could be loud for some people thought.

Great place to stay and right in the middle of the historic district. I actually choose it for it's low price. But with a nice view on the famous church I really enjoyed my stay.

Beds are decent and the room I stayed in had it's own bathroom. Other are shared bathrooms outside the rooms.
