Very good overall experience and better than any supposed 'one star' hotel I've stayed in (especially at the price). I stayed in a very large, spotlessly clean room. Everything was in good condition with kettle etc. I had a great view and it was surprisingly quiet for a warm Saturday night. The whole place had character, unlike many of the sterile budget chains. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the included breakfast buffet was very good. I would definitely book again especially if attending a gig next door at Het Depot.

Leaving a new review lowering my rate for service as well.

We not only had to seek alternative accommodation because of a bed bug infestation that left us sleepless a whole night trying to deal with the issue

We were also promised a refund that never arrived. My friend called and they said it had been processed and they would email us the receipt of this bank transaction and they NEVER sent it to us.

So basically we were left in the streets of Leuven because our room could not be used and were promised a refund that never came.

Abysmal.

!!! Do not have AC - in 36 C it is hell. You can't normally sleep even with open window 24/7 and black curtains to stop sun come in the room. You need to be ready, that room will be like a sauna. Rooms with windows on the station side - very, very loud in summer starting from 5.00 in the morning. Bathroom with some mould and very bad smell from canalisation.Breakfast - normal but not excellent - some eggs, scrumble, bacon, bread, meat two kind, salami, some fruits, some backery, coffee, tee, water and juice. Beds are very, very soft - someone will like it, someone not. And of course - there are not elevator - thats mean that it can be very hard for olderly people and hard for everyone in very hot weather. Only one possitive thing - friendly staff.

The rooms itself are 'okay'.
Unfortunately they don't have AC, so in June it was unbearable hot and I had to leave the windows open. But then it is so loud it is hard to fall asleep until 1 AM and at 6 AM you wake up due to traffic noise.

Check-In/Out was very easy, breakfast good.

I stayed at this hotel in late May (room 17) and unfortunately encountered an issue with bed bugs during the stay. While I understand that these things can happen even in clean environments and don’t necessarily reflect the overall cleanliness of the hotel, I was disappointed with how the situation was handled by the staff.
When I reported the issue, I expected a more proactive and empathetic response. I sent an email on the night I checked out and immediately got a response saying that they couldn’t act right away because the next day was a holiday. This reaction felt somewhat dismissive and lacking in urgency. It would have made a big difference if they had taken more responsibility, offered immediate solutions, or at least acknowledged the inconvenience more sincerely. I never heard back from then since and it’s been over a week.

No tiene ascensor y nos tocó dormir en el último piso. La ubicación está muy bien porque está a unos minutos de la estación de tren.

We will be back!
Great location. Excellent breakfast included in the rate. Quiet. Comfortable.
But be aware if you have mobility issues or heavy luggage, there is no lift and the rooms are on the third and fourth floors.
We will definitely stay here next time we are in Leuven.

One night stay. Room was double booked.
We arrived to check in to discover that the proprietor had made a mistake and given our Comfort room to somebody else. The only other room in the hotel was a Standard one. However the proprietor offered us a self catering apartment just a very short distance from the hotel. This was very comfortable and didn't spoil our stay at all. The proprietor and all the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel Industrie is a great place to stay in. It has its own restaurant and one of the best pubs in town. I am pleased.

Located in a great area of Leuven, the hotel looka nice from the outside, however it wasn't necessarily that clean of a room. It was a bit frustrating that I had to climb to the 4th level for my room, however they did warn about no elevator. The stay was nice, and Leuven is a nice town to stay in
