Lifestyle Laghetto Collection in Rio De Janeiro

When we were researching accommodations, my wife and I had high expectations for Rio de Janeiro, especially Barra da Tijuca. Although the hotel wasn't the most attractively priced, the images and information presented enchanted us and gave us confidence in our choice.

However, reality was quite different.

We arrived at Lifestyle Laghetto around 1:00 PM. I checked in, made payment, and was informed that the room would be ready at 2:00 PM. Upon returning at 2:30 PM, I was surprised by Caio, the receptionist, who informed me that the room was not yet available due to high demand—and he blamed the housekeeping staff. As an alternative, he suggested I go to the bar and have a drink while waiting another 20 minutes. I informed him that I don't drink alcohol and decided to check out the pool area while I waited. It's worth noting that, for a hotel of this size, the pool doesn't have a heating system, which was disappointing.

At 3:15 p.m., my daughter went to reception and had to wait another 10 minutes. When we finally received our room card (No. 307), we were met with a view of a wall—utter frustration. Since I was already tired and impatient, I didn't even complain at the time.

At checkout, I requested a cart and a bellman to help with my bags. I waited for a while, and when no one showed up, I ended up doing the job myself.

Finally, at noon, there were only two receptionists to handle check-in and check-out, which caused further annoyance.

Läget var bra. Rummet hade tyvärr vissa brister som t.ex. vatten läcka i duschen. Frukost helt ok och service helt ok

Terrible experience, before pandemic was a very good hotel, no its terrible. Just location its good! If you have option please choice another hotel.

Excellent location. Clean. Good breakfast. Nice big room and bathroom.
