Hotel Atlântico Sul in Rio De Janeiro

We had a great experience hosting our company offsite at this hotel. The food was excellent, and the service was even better — attentive, professional, and always willing to help. The overall quality, attention to detail, and level of care truly stood out.
The rooms were comfortable, the facilities were well maintained and well suited for both work and rest, and the view was beautiful.

The hotel’s facilities are a bit dated, but everything is kept clean with daily housekeeping, which I really appreciated. What truly stood out to me, though, was the restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious—far better than I expected—and I found myself enjoying every meal there without needing to go out. It was a pleasant surprise and easily the highlight of my stay. On top of that, the staff were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help, which made the overall experience even more enjoyable.

Perfect beach location away from the crowds. Perfect surf spot that is friendly. Over a dozen great tattoo parlor that are super cheap but the artists are next level. The food is ok, but 99 can get you anything from anywhere.

Stayed at this hotel for four days in August, very clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast is huge and offers sweet and savoury. Staff may not speak much English, but they are very helpful and nice. I especially recommend taking the tour of Rio with Giuliano!! Just ask for him at reception and they’ll give you the number, or look him up online at “Giu turismo Rio De Janeiro”. Best guide ever, all the tickets are included in the price and you won’t have to wait in long endless lines. We saw Cristo Redentor, pão de açucar, escadaria selarón, catedral são Sebastian and são bento monastery all in ONE DAY!!! His knowledge of the city will take you to the best places very quickly and He will explain everything you see (also in English) and if you are staying in Rio only for a few days like us it’s perfect.

Hotel is a bit outdated but bed was confortable, location was great 😊 right across the street from the beach. Staff was helpful and friendly , Felipe was helpful and friendly. Breakfast buffet had plenty of options. Overall a great stay !

A smaller hotel with a very good cost/benefit ratio right on the beach road. Rooms are a good size, breakfast as you would expect, restaurant open for lunch and dinner as well.
For visitors to Recreio, it is very well located.

Everything was perfect nothing to complain.

The best was I think Gabriel at the check in, he spoke perfect English and took us in like family.
