Au Cabaret Vert in Battambang

We stayed here for 2 nights and loved it. The room was spotless (& the bed huge!). Very friendly staff & the restaurant was excellent - we don’t make a habit of eating dinner at hotel restaurants but the food here was so good that we chose it over the restaurants in town. Brekkie was also excellent. Highly recommended.

Au Cabaret Vert sits in a nice setting although it is located in an area with no shops and no pavement so at night it can be very dangerours trying to walk along.. The accomodation is made up of the main house and a number of villas. On the first night we were given the main house. Unfortunately a 5 day funeral was taking place which involved continuous music from 5am till late evening. Our room was at the front of the house and directly opposite the funeral tent. Apart from this we got little sleep as the kitchen and plumbing was noisy. The shower water in the morning was also cold. We got moved to one of the bungalows the following day and it was a totally different experience. Very nice accomodation and the staff could not have been more helpful in moving us. We enjoyed our stay the food was very good and the staff really friendly. There is a lovely pool and it is very clean massage is also available. We would go back again as long as it was bungalow accomodation and not the main house.

I had a wonderful stay at this homestay! The hosts were kind and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. It felt peaceful and homely — a perfect place to relax after exploring. Highly recommended!

The boutique accommodation offered a freestanding bungalow amidst a tropical garden setting. Breakfast was served in the open-air restaurant or within the lovely garden setting. There were several options to choose from for breakfast, all of which were more than adequate to start the day. Our 3-night stay was made comfortable with a cosy bed, tea making facilities, and spacious bathroom. We couldn’t get the water temperature above tepid, but that wasn’t of much concern in such humid weather. We enjoyed a lot of downtime by the pool, which is surrounded by lush tropical gardens, and the bungalow’s private terrace. Whilst the setting is mostly tranquil, please be aware there is a commercial property next door which makes some noise with sawing/drilling at times. The property is also situated a little out of town, so you will need a tuk-tuk to get around. Most trips only cost a dollar or two, which didn’t bother us.

What a hidden gem in Battambang, Cambodia! The cottages are clean, spacious and well appointed. The meals are delicious and the grounds gorgeous. The staff are so friendly and professional. Just ask and they will make every attempt to get you what you need. Come stay here and enjoy the tropical beauty of Au Cabaret Vert!

The room was very nice, more refined and atmospheric. We stayed for two nights. If I remember correctly, the owner should be a Frenchman. The breakfast was also very romantic.

Au Cabaret Vert has beautiful grounds. The pool is really nice to take a dip in and sit around with a cold drink. The staff are friendly and service is great.
