Our family of four stayed here for our Canadian Rockies vacation in order to save money compared to Banff. We were happy with our stay. The breakfast was nice.

This is a Holiday Inn chain hotel, so the quality is generally reliable. The room was clean, the hot water was strong, and the heater worked well. The hotel doesn’t automatically provide disposable items like toothbrushes or toothpaste, so it’s best to bring your own, but you can always ask the front desk if you forgot. Breakfast met the basic expectations, and I appreciated the self-serve hot water...

Rooms were nice, but our night was quite unpleasant. Between 12:30am-3:00am there were drunk people moving between rooms in the hallway loudly, it was impossible to sleep that entire time. 6am an alarm in the room next to ours (presumably empty) started going off and could be heard through the walls, with nobody to shut it off. Breakfast has a lot of potential to be awesome, great variety of hot food...

The bath tub is very slippery and should have a bath mat to avoid falling. The towel rack is not well fixed on the wall and is very shaky.

Harman and staff were excellent as they were able to fulfill our requests and give us information on the surrounding area. Rooms and common area were clean and the gym was significantly better than others within this price range.

Nice hotel. Staff was friendly. Rooms were large and welll appointed. Nice hot tub and pool. Very nice breakfast included in price. Would recommend if staying in Golden.

I think that any hotel that serves plastic knives and forks with food has little respect for its customers. If it wasn’t for that one thing I probably wouldn’t moan too much about the breakfast which at best was mediocre. The scrambled eggs were rubbery and the choice of hot food was limited to sausage, egg and potatoes. Meh. The juice machine was not working and there was a bottle of cranberry available...

Rooms good, check in quick and efficient, location great just off highway. The reason I would not stay here when passing through again is the breakfast. For a $160/night location it was terrible. I made a tea at 7am after it opened at 6:30am and the “hot water” was at best tepid. The juice machine was not working and all that was offered was a bottle of near empty cranberry juice. We were checked in by a person who probably either hated his job or does not like people - very unwelcoming. Musty odor throughout. Below average breakfast with severely limited choice. Next to highway n.b request backside room. Overpriced in my mind.

The hotel is quite dated and needs some tlc to bring it up to the standard we were expecting. Unfortunately every door needs re painting and the fact that this is left for guests to see demonstrates some lack of care. Great value for the price, very basic but had everything we needed - decent beds, warm, hot water, clean shower with good pressure, fridge, kettle, coffee maker. Hottub and sauna on prem that we used were great too! Nice and quiet.

I don't understand why such pampered people think a motel is supposed to be an all-inclusive resort with the highest of luxuries. Yes, the floor is cold, the bed squeaks, and nearly all the outlets are too loose to use, but there's heat, hot water, towels, two beds, free soap, and even appliances like a fridge, microwave, and TV! The rooms could definitely use an update as there were many stains in the carpet. Also the towels don't appear to be overly clean. Our remotes volume wasn't working for the tv. We had no hot water in the sink but had hot water in the shower so just used that tap. I understand this isn't a 5 star motel and we stayed here mainly for the parking area as we were a large unit. A charming older motel that gets the job done for a quick stopover. Very accommodating for our late arrival and very friendly.

Amazingly quaint and quiet. Conveniently a short walk into old downtown. Charming, updated, well done with everything a person truly needs for simple pleasures. Coffee, tea, hair dryer, puffy pillows, clean sheets, comfortable bed I’d come back here anytime. Hands down a jewel hidden in downtown Golden. I’m sad I didn’t book more nights here but will definitely be back.
